Just a couple things.

1. I have all the Dwemer characters I want already planned out, so I won't be using Chrovzal.

2. Snow Elves won't appear in regular cities under any circumstances. It's not lore friendly for members of a race everyone thinks is extinct to just nonchalantly appear alongside other races.

3. Some of your characters are too important, like your Maormer thane and Lorian. They don't need to, and shouldn't, have any significance to the lore.

To give you a better idea of the kind of characters I'm looking for, here are some of my recently added NPCs:

• Razael, Male Kothringi - A new recruit of the Companions, joined in hopes of combatting the werewolf menace.

• Keda, Female Kothringi - A Silver-Blood mercenary who's not so physically imposing, but a force to be reckoned with nonetheless.

• Calidamas, Male Maormer - A fisherman who's come to Riverwood in an attempt to get as far away from the war as possible.

• Sa'Khonsu, Male Lilmothiit - A con artist and member of the Thieves Guild who loves talking about his past exploits.

• Di'Tharek, Male Lilmothiit - A member of Ahkari's caravan who believes himself to be a Khajiit.

• Ohalyria, Female Maormer - A Legion-employed "Sicarius", which she explains is basically just a glorified assassin.

• Nythowe, Female Snow Elf - A blind seer found in Sepredium, can tell player their fortune.

As you can see, I'm more interested in insignificant commoners than famous, important people. Please keep that in mind as you come up with more characters. I do appreciate the effort, though!

Razael, oh the dramatic irony lol! Poor guy.

Also I was going to address Lorian's importance in the game and lore, in fact I actually wanted clarify that he never had a prominent role in the events of Tamriel, he was rather miner in the few events he did partake in, he was either training his light magic abilities with the ayleids in Cyrodiil and by himself in Summerset. His help was very minor in the slave rebellion due to him not being very powerful at the time, he was a slightly above average or just average battle-mage then. When he was actually strong enough to do anything he lost interest in the squabbles of Tamriel, except for when the numidium attacked but even he would be powerless at that point (although by the time of skyrim he is much stronger). But I get it if you take out most of his backstory because it still is a lot. Just make him a random falmer priest of Meridia who only appears after the player becomes her champion. His function is only to be a master trainer in restoration and/or destruction, and/or recharge enchanted weapons for free if you either beat dawnguard(as the dawnguard), defeat Movarth, or defeat Potema. His only role is to assist and to teach the dovahkiin, never to be a follower.

For the other characters I will try to make them a bit less important so they fit in skyrim a little better. I'll start again in a few minutes with some maormer characters. As for the falmer Shizhina, she could simply be a tailor. Her shop could be called "Shizhina's fine fabrics" or something like that idk (I'm not good with shop names).

Nodruth - a maormer alchemist who is having trouble with learning the ingredients in skyrim. He can be encountered at grave concoctions in Falkreath.

Tenlilval - a maormer mercenary who resides in Riften or Morthal because she likes the moisture in those holds, everywhere else feels annoyingly dry to her. She can be recruited any time for the usual mercenary price. Twin axes are her main method of attack.

Nylar - a highly skilled knight who specializes in two-handed weapons. He will be found at one of the coasts next to two giant corpses. He will then make his way to the new gnisis cornerclub in Windhelm. Maybe if the player helps him clear a dungeon he will become a follower.

Ylia - a maormer who spends most of her nights fishing in Lake Honrich. She will sell some of the fish she catches at a stand in the Riften docks during the day for a low price. This is simply because she is mostly self-sufficient with fishing and cooks the ones that don't sell, and she sleeps on the docks by choice as she doesn't like being indoors for some reason so she doesn't need a house.

Okay i got some more idea's regarding the snow elf colonies. First, the outfits, do you think you can make a model for the outfits that falmer citizens that look similar to the clothes on the Irkngthand statue at the end of the thieves guild quest? If not the next best thing would be a simple recolor of vanilla clothes. Blues, purples, greens, and reds would be a fantastic color scheme, or maybe gold colors for royalty and nobles. Really could subvert expectations some might have of snow elves only wearing white. Second, transportation between colonies, since the falmer are still in hiding it would be logical that they have something similar to wayshrines to travel between colonies as to remain undetected from the rest of skyrim. I did have a third thing regarding the buildings but I think it would be a LOT of work to deal with and it is a very minor thing so I won't mention it unless you're curious.

It also just occurred to me, but should I be a bit more vague regarding my ideas to avoid spoilers for those who follow our conversations? Or could this be a sneak peek or a guide of sorts to players who are interested?

Zebsi I redesigned some my characters that didn't work out into something more akin to the style you proposed.

Mithlondil the Harbinger - A snow elf who's self-given title insults the Companions and their genocidal legacy. Mithlondil was ironically shunned by his colony for his radical opinions and left on self- exile. He can be encountered in the wilds in Haafingar hold. Upon meeting him you'll find him sitting around three generic companion corpses. After a short bit of dialogue of him explaining why he did what he did and his escape from the ancient nords who forced him and his brethren into slavery, the player will get the option to either fight him or let him leave and continue his work. If the player leaves him alone he will appear later as Elenwen's personal body guard, wearing a mask and hooded thalmor robes to hide his identity (not from the thalmor). Although if you do fight him but run away from the fight he'll still show up later as Elenwen's bodyguard but won't be hostile and will mock you for running away. If you do end up killing him he will utter the words "Even death won't keep me from destroying you." before he dies. Afterwards when the player reaches sovngarde or the soul cairn he'll show up again and will briefly talk to the player again telling them how he clawed his way through the outer realms just to reach you, and then he will be hostile. After killing him a second time his last words will be, "You may shatter my soul, but my hate... my hate will never die! Someday I will be reborn!". He won't show up again in-game.

Cirian - A mysterious maormer woman who you will encounter after the battle for Whiterun in the civil war. It doesn't matter what side you choose she will show up in in castle dour entrance for the imperials, or the palace of kings entrance for the stormcloaks. She will introduce herself to the player and say that she hopes to work with them in the future. When asked why she joined up with whatever side you chose she will simply say "Dragonborn, I merely wish to see you grow, and succeed." From then on she will show up in many or all of the battles the player is in for the rest of the civil war. After the war has concluded she will offer herself as a follower. And maybe a marriage candidate.

Master Mystic Calswyn (or just Calswyn) - A snow elf illusion master who seeks to cure the corrupted falmer. When the player reaches his colony and speaks to him Calswyn will ask if the player would help him with his mission. If accepted he will teach you a spell called "tame falmer". The spell will pacify a corrupted falmer and have them follow you, where you will then take them back to Calswyn and he will take them off your hands and to restoration and alteration experts. However, the spell can only work on one falmer at a time, the spell will break if you take another falmer. Perhaps the falmer can still be killed in this state. Maybe if you bring enough back to Calswyn he will start a small colony somewhere else.

He can be encountered in the wilds in Haafinger hold.

The "Snow Elves do not appear in cities" rule extends to the wilderness around cities as well. Sorry, but I'm almost definitely not using Mithlondil.

she will simply say "Dragonborn, I merely wish to see you grow, and succeed."

A lot of people play as characters who aren't Dragonborn as an rp type thing. Wouldn't work, sorry.

cure the corrupted falmer

A lot of people have suggested something like this, but I'm avoiding it. The Falmer are basically completely different creatures due to centuries of devolution. There's no "curing" them.

Okay, so no snow elves outside colonies in general got it. Also I'll stop trying to push Mithlondil on you. With Cirian I agree, I actually sometimes fall into that category myself, so just cutting out the word dragonborn will fix it. As for Calswyn, true there is no "cure" but with enough alteration magic, their appearance could be "restored", as shape-shifting has been in the elder scrolls world by the ayleids and something similar with the face sculptor in Riften, illusion is used to manipulate the minds of mortals, and thus to calm the minds of the falmer while operating on them, and maybe "restoring" them with enough use, and restoration could be used to purify the souls of the corrupted falmer, similar to how some forms of restoration magic is used on the souls of the undead.

The best I'll do in that regard is have this crazy mage guy who captured a Falmer in hopes of curing it, and asks the player to gather ingredients to help him do so. After you give him the ingredients, he'll tell you to check back in a few days, and when you get there, he's dead and the falmer is escaped from his confines

Got it so like a guy who had good intentions but bit off more than he could chew and now the player has to either clean up his mess or complete the experiment. Seems like a more realistic role for Calswyn, a young and inexperienced mage. Come to think of It I guess magical research would be hard for the snow elves considering their lack of access to the outside world.

Also what did you think about the snow elf citizen clothes and maormer character ideas I had earlier, or is it a little to early for that? I didn't get any feedback on that so I don't know what to make of it. Sorry I'm still trying to get on the same page here, this is the first time I ever actually was helping a mod author out directly with my ideas. I'm usually more of a keep my creativity to myself kinda guy.

One more thing before I forget, what do you think about one of the four snow elf colonies having a small group of Meridia worshipers led by my Lorian Alfar character, who gives a quest to find and dispose of a mage who turned herself into a wispmother and is beginning to organize the corrupted falmer to launch an invasion on skyrim, before it is to late? I know this idea could definitely use a bit more polish considering I came up with it as I was typing, but I'd still like to know your thoughts.
