Fallout 3 in Fallout New Vegas.

Is it possible to make a bridge, or boat, that connects the two worlds in the same game with the original quests and NPCs intact, so you have twice the quests, and twice the land space, but you spawn in the Fallout 3 world with Weapons/SPECIAL/Perks obtained in the New Vegas world. Fallout 3 Weapons/Perks could also be used in the fallout world.

The reason I'm asking is because I have the misfortune of owning an Intel Graphics Card, which doesn't support Fallout 3, but I would really like to play.

Thanks.

I'm on Intel Graphics and I play Fallout 3 fine, this may help you http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/17209 , as for your question there was one or two mods but they got taken down.

There was a mod on the nexus called "A Requiem for the Capital Wasteland". It allowed users to make use of the Fallout 3 files (so long as you had the game installed). You could travel to the Capital Wasteland and do all the quests. However, if I recall correctly, there was a problem with how a patch was done and it contained merged files from both Fallouts 3 and New Vegas. It was considered copyright violation and the mod was removed. It was a shame. I wanted to install this mod, myself, but it was taken down before I got around to it.

You can probably find it through Google, though with lack of updates from the author, I doubt it would even work. Not to mention that there would be absolutely no support or help available if something went wrong.

So yes, it IS possible to make a mod such as the one you're talking about, and it had been done. But if you or anyone else tries to do it again, you need to make sure you don't break any copyrights.

A lot of time and effort went into making that mod. I don't think it's very likely that anyone would make another go at it. :( Sorry.

Lol, so why bethesda did it? Its their games and new vegas's obsidian, so why they don't want to have one big fallout? Stupid law, copyrights and people. The game should be free moded for me.

From what I understand, not all of the resources used in Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas belong solely to Bethesda. Bethesda is allowed to use specific files only as agreed to by the owners. Any other usage cannot be supported by Bethesda and thus can't be supported by the Nexus.

Copyrights can be a pain in the butt sometimes, but they do help protect a person's property and keep from letting others profit from another person's work.
