K00L
Run dxdiag ->goto sound-> upload the pichttp://s17.postimage.org/3rp731025/Untitled.jpghttp://s17.postimage.org/ps5jjniq5/image.jpgI went ahead and tested Directsound just in case, both worked completely fine. I'm wondering if these conflict somehow, and it doesn't show up under the normal device conflicts? And this Modem thing is really weird. K00L
Okay well I just uninstalled the Motorola Modem, and now I have no sound at all and no playback devices. I'll try reinstalling the Realtek audio or something.
Iv000
Motorola Modem? Is that some kind of card or something? http://www.sysopt.com/showthread.php?50263-help-motorola-modem-sound-won-t-workThis thread says that you can't use the Motorola modem as a sound card. This is confusing.Have you used the audio jacks form the motorola card? Try the ones on your motherboard instead if you haven't already. Confused me is confused. :psyduck: I'm also a tad ashamed that I can't help :c
Thor.
You know instead if using on board sound, you should get yourself a creative card. Something like this http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1766717&CatId=107 Best sound cards on the market these days, i had no issues whats so ever with creative, they are rock solid. Confused me is confused. :psyduck: I'm also a tad ashamed that I can't help :cI think it was a card, I remember unplugging some Motorola card. This was my dad's computer. Anyway it shouldn't be detected as a sound device. It doesn't even have the jacks. And my speakers are plugged into the motherboard audio jacks. And I am confused as well... Very. :psyduck: :psyduck: And don't be. I've asked everywhere and no one seems to have the slightest clue what the hell is going on with this thing. :PYou know instead if using on board sound, you should get yourself a creative card. Which is why I think this may be a software problem, or something is wrong with my motherboard and sound things. K00L
Well... As I was preparing this next post. I opened Realtek HD Audio Manager to take pictures of it. I clicked the play button...http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/2073/78677107.jpgIt played the noise. I... Don't... Freaking... Get it. :wallbash: :psyduck: Anyway here's some screenshots to hopefully better explain some things I talked about or checked... Device Manager:http://img803.imageshack.us/img803/9916/82397336.jpg This is my services window, it has a problem too, as you can see. Anyway I went here to check if Windows Audio service was starting up automatically, it does:http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/4394/79674769.jpg(forgot a picture to show the service works, but it does you can trust me... or can you. ;P ) Sounds and Audio Devices:http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/3497/89047188.jpghttp://img837.imageshack.us/img837/5356/42167147.jpghttp://img705.imageshack.us/img705/3945/43030266.jpg
K00L
Well apparently I have 16 outdated drivers. Including USB Human Interface Device drivers, Intel® PRO/100 VE Network Connection, and PCI things... wonderful. Nothing that seems related to onboard audio though (at least that I know of)... And I don't know if this thing is lying to me because I think it just wants me to buy it. And if it happens to be a virus (which I doubt but if it is...) then it doesn't matter much since this piece of crap ain't doing much anyway.http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/4853/driver1s.jpghttp://img705.imageshack.us/img705/473/driver2p.jpghttp://img444.imageshack.us/img444/6204/driver3.jpg Edit: Where can I get these drivers easily? -.- There's a lot... Thor.
i wouldn't trust driver updater like that, I would do some research first like looking for updated firmware for your realtek. That might solve your problem Edited July 31, 2012 by Thor.
K00L
i wouldn't trust driver updater like that, I would do some research first like looking for updated firmware for your realtek. That might solve your problemRealtek is up to date. I checked this thing (its not an updater unless you buy it), its approved by Microsoft but I uninstalled it anyway, actually right after I used it. I just need to find these updates and try them.
