I have no idea which mods are compatible with what etc. and I just ordered the game.

Would this combination work?

* FOMM

* EVE + patch

* Project Nevada

* Real Smoke

* Raven's Nest

* Outside Bets

* New Vegas Bounties I

(that is top 7 most endorsed)

Am I missing anything important this way?

If I may suggest my own house mod, seeing as the Vanilla Game doesnt have a house for a player starting out in Goodsprings..

Its called > Good Things in Goodsprings

@chujatamta - this is an excellent mod "Willow - A Better Companion Experience by llamaRCA" - http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/41779.

Best companion you will ever get.

That is just not so - that the vanilla game doesn't contain player housing in Goodsprings,.

Victors shack is adequate player housing for any starting player in an unmodded Vanilla game.

You get a bed, a sink, plus 4 storage containers [desk, oven and 2 ammo boxes] that are safe to store items in plus to sets of shelving.

I always set up there when I start up a new game and always keep it stocked with items as you never know when you'll need to resupply.

I'd recommend installing a few simpler mods first before getting some of the bigger mods if you have never used mods before so you get the hang of installing them. I do recommend getting FOMM pretty quickly because it's a mod manager.

The mods I recommend for once you get the hang of using mods is:

- Fallout New Vegas Redesigned 2

- ADAM - A Definitive Armor Mod

- EVE - Essential Visual Effects

- CNR - Caesar's New Regime

- New Vegas Bounties 1

- New Vegas Bounties 2

- Willow a better companion experience

- Companion Dress-up

- Charisma Based Follower Limits

Willow is the best mod I've used in any game. Very well done. Good Things in Good Springs is a great player home. All the stuff you need in one place and a really smart location. Right across from Chet for easy vendor access. I recommend this video series for getting into FNV mod use.
really well done. His mods are good too.
