Howdy and a Question

Hey guys and gals,

 

New to the forum and the world of mods, not new to The Elder Scrolls games (almost got myself divorced over Morrowind ;) ). Seems like a nice little community here and the mods are wonderful - they make a very good game (Skyrim), so much better, so thanks to all those people that add those. I have had Morrwind on PC and the original xbox, Oblivion on both as well (xbox 360 for that one), and finally Skyrim on both. :). I guess you could say I am an Elder Scrolls junkie.

 

I was wondering about the SKSE tool. It seemed to have stop working for me yesterday afternoon after Steam downloaded something for it. Should whatever was downloaded stopped SKSE from working? As it stands I got an error in my items menu that said that SkyUI couldn't find SKSE script extender. Do I have to wait for the new version or has something gone awry and there is some way to fix this?

 

Anyway, thank you in advance for any info and thanks for having such a great community here so these questions can be asked, :D

Steam probably updated the game for you (tends to update even if you tell it not to in the options..ugh) . SKSE is a third party program and Steam has nothing to do with updating that program. Each time the game updates to a new version, you have to get a new version of SKSE. Here is the latest version:

SkyUI will still work with an outdated version of SKSE, but some options might not work. Try installing the newest version I linked there.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Interestingly enough I had the latest version of SKSE (I thought I did). Maybe I will have to drop some of the later mods to see if it works again. Will have to look around and see if anyone else has encountered it.
