All new profiles for Fallout 4 cause the game to crash after 10 seconds

If your game is crashing before showing the main menu, you are either missing a requirement (could be a script extender, in your case) or it could be an ENB issue. Is your data folder empty?

 

You could try what rmm200 suggested to troubleshoot futher.

Well, that was the weird thing, because it would reach the main menu. If I skipped the intro video as soon as it would let me, it would usually get to about the 6th note in the intro song and then just crash, which is behavior I've never quite encountered before.

Having the same issues here for Fallout 4 in 2021, as I have two profiles. The one I have problems crashing is with less mods and is for streaming. It gets to the main menu, and after a bit, it crashes. The first profile works just fine. I have even deleted the Fallout 4 folder from the MyGames folder and let it start fresh, and that still did not work.

you're responding to a two year old thread. it's extremely unlikely you have the same issue as was reported. you're best off opening a new thread and describing your issue so that you can get help. simply adding a "me to" to an ancient thread is not really going to help anyone help you.
