jackstarr
I am also unable to get videos to work on my mod page - either on the video tab or using bbcode in the description tab. It just leaves a blank area the size that the embed should be. The Youtube video I'm trying to embed is fully public with embedding enabled. My mod page is http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19782 An active hyperlink directly to the Youtube page does work correctly, but it just won't embed with my mod page on the Nexus. I hope you can help! DrakeTheDragon
Don't know if it helps, but apparently the BB Code created an "embed" HTML tag with an invalid source value:<embed width="640" height="385" bgcolor="#000000" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" id="movie_player" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ug97qUIORzo&feature=youtu.be&webm=1&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash">The source " leads to a "404 Not Found" error page on YouTube.By playing around with removing bogus parameters different to the YouTube embed codes I found out either "&feature=youtu.be" needs to be removed from the URL, or the first "&" has to be replaced by a "?", and everything'll be working again. jackstarr
Thank you! This works - the url supplied by Youtube needed to be amended - just remove the "=youtu.be" from the end, and the video embeds perfectly. Thanks again!
JimboUK
The way I get a clean link without all the added nonsense is to hit "Share" under the video, then "Options" and then check "Long Link". You can then copy the link from the above box. http://i1050.photobucket.com/albums/s417/Jim_Watford/00tube.jpg
