Skyrim CTD's a few seconds into game.

Hi.

 

Tested downloading NMM and SKyrim HD 2K textures for my skyrim.

Although the mod seems to have installed properly it wont run. When i start skyrim i get to the main screen, load up my game and i can play about 10-30 seconds then it simply closes.

Like if you Alt-Tab to desktop but the game closes leaving no errors or anything.

 

I use Win7 and NMM and Skyrim are installed in their normal folders.

 

I'd like to know if anyone here have a solution cause the few seconds i do get to play it's simply beautiful.

Do you have a good enough graphics card to run it using full instead of lite settings?

You could also try verifying the cache through the Steam interface?

My hardware are not the problem, i think it's a software problem somewhere.

 

I have a i7-950 @ 4.01GHz

Sapphire HD 6950 OC'd

4Gb 2133MHz DDR3 memory.

 

It runs the game at good fps with the mod it just... closes after a few secs leaving no errors.

I'd suggest verifying game cache through Steam as suggested by filmogriter, but I'm a bit puzzled by your filepath i.e. no "steamapps/common/skyrim" ?
