Image upload ToS question

My question is, why is there a check box for "contains adult content" if the ToS also states that we'll get the boot if we upload a pic with the naughty bits showing? That makes no sense to me. Wouldn't it be more logical to just say that if you upload a pic with naughty bits and don't check that box, then the ban hammer may fall upon your head? And also make that part of the "don't show content" system Nexus is working on?

Adult content - at least on Nexus - is not equal to nudity. Nudity is not permitted at all (and for the purpose of this rule, nudity also includes overly skimpy outfits that barely cover the 'sensitive' parts of the body). Adult content is anything that is excessively gory (decapitation, etc.) or shows too much skin (bikini armors, etc). Basically, if you would not like to get caught by your boss while you are looking at that particular image or would not want that image to be displayed on your screen when your underage child walks into your room then you should use the Adult tag (it is more like a "Not safe for work/Not safe for minors" tag).

There is a topic posted by Dark0ne that clarifies and explains the Image Share rules, and the ToS includes a link to that post.
