Hello, first of all sorry for my english im not english.

So im creating my first standalone follower using Skyla tutorial on YouTube, i want to use my custom preset.

After doing all of what the tutorial said I end up with the right face model the good texture and good hairs. But my npc follower have a large gap in the neck, I think it's caused because she use the default body (large ugly hand ect...) And in my preset I use cbbe. Also my npc eyes black red like she has no eyes i tried to change texture path with nifskope and add eyesbrown_sk but it didnt fix it

Thanks for your help if you can help me

Possibly try the TextureBlender it comes with a neck/hands fix option (that may be just a recolor blend however).

I once had that happen to me too. Pretty sure it was a wrong or mismatch .nif or a texture file. Forget how I fixed that ...

I'm leaning towards a mismatched texture file for the .nif and I just found the right match.

I've used Skyla's tutorial and it's great! She makes it look really easy.

So, in my experience:

Space gaps between the head and the body meshes is due to the head and body not matching in the weight -- in RaceMenu you set the weight of the NPC to be 65 but in the CK you set the NPC the head is going on to be 100 -- they both have to match.

Color seams between the head and body meshes are usually caused by the head and body not matching in skin tone color. Same as weight, you have to match the RGB Skin colors exactly.

In my opinion, the best way to prevent these issues is to create an NPC file and import it in the CK as you're making your follower.

How do I do that?

When you've finished your character in RaceMenu, go to console mode and type in this console command: SPF FOLLOWERNAME and press enter, save game and exit. BTW you can name the filename be whatever, I just chose FOLLOWERNAME as an example.

This will create an NPC file in the root Skyrim directory (the same folder your Skyrim.exe, Creation Kit.exe and Skyrim Data folder are located). In that folder you find a file called FOLLOWERNAME.npc. The file will contain the character's weight, skin tone and some other stuff based on the settings you set in RaceMenu. Go to the CK and open your actor. Go to the "Character Gen Parts" tab and you should see an IMPORT button. Click on Import and find your NPC file and select it. If done correctly the weight and skin tone will automatically adjust to what you had set in RaceMenu. I don't know if that helps but GL!

I think I'm right on this -- someone correct me if I'm not -- but if you set their weight to be between 50-100 you need to use the body meshes that end in _1. Less than 50, use the _0 meshes.
