Back Cycle

Im being asked to back cycle a coup;e of mods and I don't know what that is or how to do it. Help, please

Cycle happens when you load before and after to resolve your mod conflicts. For example, you cannot say load mod A before mod C and load mod C before A.

You will have more conflicts if you install mods that do the same. For example, if you install Verdant and More Grass, both do practically the same thing and they conflict to each other. One of them must win the conflict. You cannot say load Verdant before More Grass and load More Grass before Verdant. Realize that everything start with your decision about how many mods of the same kind you are installing in your game and Vortex has nothing to do with your decision.

Try to install one mod of each kind, otherwise, if you want to have two or more of the same kind, you must choose which one will override the rest; one of them, must load after all of the others and win the conflict. Period.

So, if you have cycles, is because you have several mods doing the same thing and you have not chosen correctly to resolve your rules.

Now, it looks to me like you have not read anything about Vortex. Do yourself a favor and I cannot stress how important is what I am going to tell you : READ, investigate, watch videos and read this forum. Search for information and you will be fine. Avoid doing all of that and you will end up screwing up your game so bad that you will get very frustrated and most likely, you will blame Vortex. Vortex is a tool, a program and is your responsibility to learn it so it will do exactly what you tell it to do. I am very sorry if I sound drastic to you, but my only intention is to avoid you frustration.

We are here to help you but do your homework. Vortex is easy but VERY DIFFERENT in compare to NMM. Back in NMM, you had to choose Yes to All, etc, etc, ... here in Vortex, you use rules : load before, no rule, load after, etc, .... and again, everything start with how many mods of the same kind you are installing in your game and there is nothing wrong doing it that way if you want to, but one of them must win the conflict, so what is the point to have for example, Verdant and More Grass ? Choose to install only one and you will simplify your load order.
