Razputin53
I ended up fragging the whole Oblivion game folder to try Qarl's by itself, but the problem persists. I noticed there was a similar issue with this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/1951 Vortex correctly placed the textures but Oblivion did not use them. When I added them to the ArchiveInvalidation.txt manually they then appeared properly. I think its entirely a AI/BSA issue. Do I need to add all of the textures from Qarls manually or is there a better solution available?
AugustaCalidia
@UrizenDe I definitely did not have that enabled. I enabled it and got it to update the ini so it matches what you said, but I'm in the same situation as the Qarls content isn't being used. What would happen if you placed "Vortex - BSA Redirection.bsa" at the beginning of the archive list in line 725 shown in your attachment and deleted line 726? Do you really need line 726 if you edit line 725 in this manner? I haven't used AI in Vortex, and so I don't know what Vortex needs to add to the .ini. However, based on my experience in years past with Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Fallout NV, I think this might be a suggestion worth considering. Razputin53
@Augusta Just tried that, doesn't seem to do anything. Vortex also wants to put line 726 back if you delete it.
UrizenDe
This is what my Oblivion.ini looks like under the Archive section: [Archive] SMasterMiscArchiveFileName=Oblivion - Misc.bsa SMasterVoicesArchiveFileName2=Oblivion - Voices2.bsa SMasterVoicesArchiveFileName1=Oblivion - Voices1.bsa SMasterSoundsArchiveFileName=Oblivion - Sounds.bsa SMasterTexturesArchiveFileName1=Oblivion - Textures - Compressed.bsa SMasterMeshesArchiveFileName=Oblivion - Meshes.bsa SInvalidationFile=ArchiveInvalidation.txt iRetainFilenameOffsetTable=1 iRetainFilenameStringTable=1 iRetainDirectoryStringTable=1 bCheckRuntimeCollisions=0 bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 bUseArchives=1 sArchiveList=ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa, Oblivion - Meshes.bsa, Oblivion - Textures - Compressed.bsa, Oblivion - Sounds.bsa, Oblivion - Voices1.bsa, Oblivion - Voices2.bsa, Oblivion - Misc.bsa I don´t use Vortex for Oblivion, hence the difference, but its BSA Redirection is working in FO3 and FONV without a hitch.This is what my Fallout.ini looks like: [Archive] SMasterMiscArchiveFileName=Fallout - Misc.bsa SMasterVoicesArchiveFileName1=Fallout - Voices.bsa SMasterVoicesArchiveFileName2=Fallout - MenuVoices.bsa SMasterSoundsArchiveFileName=Fallout - Sound.bsa SMasterTexturesArchiveFileName1=Fallout - Textures.bsa SMasterMeshesArchiveFileName=Fallout - Meshes.bsa SInvalidationFile=ArchiveInvalidation.txt iRetainFilenameOffsetTable=1 iRetainFilenameStringTable=1 iRetainDirectoryStringTable=1 bCheckRuntimeCollisions=0 bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 bUseArchives=1 SArchiveList=Vortex - BSA Redirection.bsa, Fallout - Textures.bsa, Fallout - Meshes.bsa, Fallout - Voices.bsa, Fallout - Sound.bsa, Fallout - MenuVoices.bsa, Fallout - Misc.bsa Do you use any other modmanager by chance?
