Fallout 4 crashes

So I went to play fallout 4 with my mods and come to find out my armor smith mod needed an update, no big deal. So I updated it and the corresponding mods that went along with it to make it compatible with my game. I ended up deleting old files of the mods and completely re downloading them and now every time I try to load up my game it continues to crash. Why?

I don't get where you deleted files?

If you update, you either replace the existing mods in Vortex or you end up with new entries for the already existing mods.

In the latter case, you just disable or even remove the previous versions and should be fine. In no way you have to manually delete any files UNLESS you installed the mods manually (without using Vortex) in the first place.

you shouldnt have deleted anything, there's a good chance that you've removed meshes, scripts and anything else that the game needs, can't find, and crashes. hard to say what's missing and what to replace.

no idea why you did what you did, but this isn't anything to do with vortex.

If your game crashes on startup / after the bethesda logo that is indicative of a missing requirement i.e. one or several of your plugins are dependent on another plugin that is not enabled. To address this, either enable the plugin other plugins might depend on, or try to disable all plugins and start the game.

I am not sure why you deleted anything or why you felt you needed to delete anything after updating your mods. It appears that this might be the source of your problem, especially if you ended up deleting plugins.

I forgot to mention that before all this it said that armor smith had files missing or something that were important and weren't there or something I tried updating armorsmith and weaponsmith cause they intertwine and it didn't work
