LongLiveTheStarrk
I don't know what mod is causing this but I simply cannot enter the dragonsreach interior. Not through the front door or through the dungeon. I've already gone through SSEEdit and the only mods affecting the cell are Dawnguard, USSEP, Legacy of the Dragonborn, Alt Start, Netrual Civil War, and Open Cities, but none of the mods appear to be conflicting eachother. BigBizkit
Hi, This does not seem to be Vortex related at all. This seems to be a more suitable place for your question: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/4060-skyrim-special-edition-mod-troubleshooting/ CTDs can be caused by all kinds of (often unexpected) issues. For instance, I once suffered CTDs when leaving any interior in Whiterun, and it turned out to be a broken scimitar mesh replacer (the game had already preloaded the Alik'r warriors for that Saadia quest). sopmac45
@ OP .... what BigBizkit said is very true, anything can trigger a CTD and I find very pointless when users post their load order because for somebody to help you find out what mod is the culprit, that person would have to install all of your mods in their own PC, play with them and try to find the root of the problem, and I do not think that anyone will do that for you or anybody else. I do not agree when people start advising about moving this mod here or there, or deleting this one or other. Right now I could tell you, delete this mod or do this or that and it will not be of any help to you at all because I do not know, from my chair, how those mods are interacting / conflicting to each other and the only person who can discover that is you by using Xedit which should be your best counselor. Unfortunately, neither me nor everybody can do that for you, even though we would like to help you, it is simply impossible. The best thing to do when modding a game, is to install 2-3 mods, try them out for 15-20 minutes and if they do not break your game, continue installing another 3 and repeat the same sequence till you find the one is causing the issue. I did it and I found out that More Bandit Camps was the culprit, but it took me a while to find out and I had to reinstall the whole thing again. It is tedious, but absolutely essential if you want to have a more stable game. It would never be perfect and you probably will experience some CTD's once in a while, but not that often. Perfect game does not exist !!!
rmm200
Speaking strictly to your load order - when talking about mods, more is not better.Knock yourself out with texture mods. They are usually fine.Script mods, that add Quests or change things, will kill your game if they overload the engine.Use only a few of those per profile. Dedicate a profile to each "Theme" you want to try.For one thing, you will have less mods to debug when it crashes.
