custom races and horse back combat

i have a race mod (it adds the elin from tera) (not a mod that is on the nexus but i'm guessing it's a universal problem) and whenever i click to draw my weapon and start fighting and stuff while on horse back my character just stands up straight floating over the horse no noises happen with melee weapons but with bows i hear the arrow noise but nothing appears to get damaged

is this a problem with the race mod (or the racial compatability mod http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=10165) or if neither i have found a mod that puts the same race in but dont by someone else is it possible to install that and then swap over to the new mod from the old one without losing all my levels and stats and xp (if you want the links to the mods i can pm you i dont know if the mods will let me link in this thread so i have decided not to and if it is a good idea to try swapping the races can i have instructions please :o?)

Can be a race mod, or not. Depends on, if (1) the race is a complete copy of the human race, or (2) just a subspecies (like imperial, or breton).

In the second case it's probably because you have an outdated animation mod, which changes behavior files.

In the first case, it's because this mod has made a copy of all race files, and these files are outdated.

So the problems is in either case, your using Skyrim 1.6, but the outdated behavior files are 1.5.

In the 2nd case simply remove meshes/actors/character/character/characters/defaultmale.hkx and meshes/actors/character/character/characters female/defaultfemale.hkx. Or if you happen to use FNIS, (re-)install FNIS 2.1.

In the 1st case it's much more complicated, because basically you have to replace all the "race" files of the new race by the ones for Skyrim 1.6. Minus the ones which might have been modified by the race mod itself. Plus the ones which are new in Skyrim 1.6 (several behavior files, about 200 animations)
