Deleted54170User
I knew it was time to release my grip on the game, get it to release me, and move to working on the shack I started when... I had just helped 3 players fight off feral ghouls, radroaches, etc. in Mama Dolce's factory while the machines made racket enough to attract every NPC in Morgantown. I was exhausted mentally. And yet, after all that excitement was over I decided to go in search of a holo I was after. A few blocks away there were 3 players, possibly the same 3 players that I helped at the factory. It was hard to remember since all I did when I arrived was fight feral ghouls, radroaches and the like while the food was being prepared. I reached another street as three players were passing by the front of the building I was headed toward. They had several ferals following, I should say, chasing after them. I thought they might be the same 3 I barely had time to acquaint myself with them before they disappeared from Mama Dolces'. I thought of them at least. The three caballero's I thought were familiar from the factory were running south as I faced East on the sidewalk. I realized the size of the crowd chasing them would be a little (a LOT) overwhelming if those ferals caught up with them. I started taking down ferals one by one. The ferals all gave up their chase and turned around. The feral ghouls all turned on me! I don't know if the three players knew they were being chased. That didn't matter though. I was suddenly too busy to care. I fought, ran, fought ran, backed up fighting. I heard more shooting, glimpsed the 3 players were taking on the feral then too. When all the ferals were down and it was finally over, I stopped, looked at the three. Exhausted mentally. I didn't G and wave thanks. I checked the feral nearest me for loot, automatically. I straightened up, barely finished taking a breath, and saw a white cap on a player whom I had not seen before, a 4th player, and before I realized that person approaching wasn't another ghoul I fired a shot. The three stood by. I turned to face the person who I mistook for a threat. That's when I realized that it was a player, I stopped moving. I thought, 'lower my weapon'. A sign of peace. The game made me jumpy. I recalled what some people called what happened. I had become overly cautious. Trigger Happy! I stopped and was so glad to see I didn't hit the player as I stood there, still, and staring in disbelief until I saw one of the three take a shot at me. Since I was mentally exhausted I didn't think. I just acted. Without thinking I ran for the nearest safe place. Inside the nearest building. I could have made friends with them. Mental exhaustion, fright, and I mean scary enough I had to run to the bathroom after that moment. The building happened to be where I found the holo too. I took that as a sign of the fates. Mental exhaustion, pissing fright, and Fate in a game? I took my own advice and got back to the shack as safely as possible. I spent an hour working on the shack to improve it with my level 10 skills. I think this mesh set up should be in Fallout 76 lowering weapon so we can show we are done shooting. TheGadget1945
I encountered one player who had built a camp at Wade Airport which I didn't think was supposed to be possible. I just walked up , gave him a thumbs up and received the same, tried to talk but received no reply. So I cleared off to a nearby riverside site. Unknown to me he had followed me so he walked through the door and as a reflex I attacked him. He killed me and I decided not to respawn.
Deleted54170User
I don't know why I thought of them as The three caballero's when I did I had to look up caballero's to check the spelling. I found a treasure. I'm going to enjoy the treasure later this evening.
