MallaVelve
Can someone please tell me why the majority, not all, of the Mod files I download have %20 scatered in them? Example: PREY%20Better%20Scopes-5-0-
steve40
It is a URL-encoded "space" character.

Example: PREY%20Better%20Scopes-5-0-1 It is a URL-encoded "space" character. @MallaVelve; @steve40 is quite correct. When it handles the download, your browser is keeping the " %20 " found in the URL of filename, rather than replacing it with a " space " as it should do. Not sure why it's doing that, (maybe a setting?) but I would suggest switching to a current version of, well... almost any one other than the one you're using.
Pickysaurus
Microsoft Edge seems to parse the spaces as %20, other browsers may also do this, but Chrome seems fine.
MallaVelve
@steve40, @Thandal, @Pickysaurus,Thank-you for the response, all of you. I am using Micro Edge. So that is my culprit. I will have to see if Microsoft has a fix for this, otherwise I will switch to chrome I think, before I go about downloading the billion mods for Skyrim SE. Thanks again, you guys are great. MallaVelve
@steve40, @Thandal, @Pickysaurus, and anyone with this problem, the issue is likely caused by a third party modification to the browser. The solution is to open the browser, CTRL+SHIFT+DEL, and check everything and reset the browser, then restart the computer. this fixed the issue . Thought you would like to know.
