TES5Edit Load order different from both loot and mod organizer load orders

Hello, I've recently started modding and have just made my way up to using mod organizer. I downloaded enbseries with ruby enb and got it to work in the game. My only problem is that I still have to clean one master file (dawnguards) in TES5Edit, but continuously get this error message.

Background Loader: Fatal: <Exception: "Dawnguard.esm" requires master "Update.esm" to be loaded before it.>

and instead of the normal load order mine looks like this

Skyrim.esm

Dawnguard.esm

Dragonborn.esm

HearthFires.esm

Update.esm

Bashed Patch, 0.esp

I have looked all over the internet but cannot find any way to fix this. I organized my load order with loot, it displays update.esm above dawnguard in mod organizer, and I really don't know what to do.

If anyone can help me with this that would be AMAZING! Thanks!

It's likely pulling your order from C:\Users\Your user name\AppData\Local\Skyrim\plugins.txt. Editing the load order in that file may be a workaround.

Mod Organizer uses a profile system to store the INI / TXT files. It should be pulling from the "Mod Organizer > profiles > Default" directory unless you have set up a specific profile and instructed MO to use profile specific INI / TXT files.

That said, make sure you are running TES5Edit from within MO. That your plugin order is not locked in MO when running LOOT. Also LOOT has an option to redate plugin files so that the list by date will match the desired load order. This is helpful for the Creation Kit and may be helpful for other tools as well.
