nosmorituri
Can anybody send the default female body nif in the meshes folder? kinda zonked it out trying to implement unique body and nevernude replacers? Can have steam reverify file integrity to restore them, but net connection is problematic (to say the least) these past few days. Jeir
It isn't located in the meshes folder. It's located in the meshes archive (ba2), so it can't be removed unless you unpack, delete, and repack the archive. You just need to delete the female body mesh from the meshes folder to restore the original one.
nosmorituri
That is so helpful. Was going to attempt to revalidate the files and or go for a full reinstallation since I've messed up quite a bit trying to "mod" it. thank you so much! Enlightnd
Just FYI to stop future confusion for people, the default layout of the game is as follows:%diryouinstalledin%\%diryouinstalledin%\Data%diryouinstalledin%\Data\Scripts%diryouinstalledin%\Data\Scripts\Source%diryouinstalledin%\Data\Video%diryouinstalledin%\Fallout 4 Every other directory is added by a mod. Internally in the BA2 files, there are also directoy layouts. Whenever you drop a mod into the real directory structure to override a default game feature, it mimics the directory structure inside the BA2 files.Anything not inside the default BA2 files gets priority over what is inside them. That's what the load order comes in for. This is also why loading a crapton of mods can cause your game to take ages to load, because the game first has to recurse through all the files and figure out which ones have priority. And there's only 2 mods you install in %diryouinstalledin%\ and that's a DirectX 11 wrapper/router DLL and whatever it routes to (like DXVK, reshade, etc) and the executable loader for F4SE. So in the case of OP, anything and everything in the meshes folder, including the folder itself, is a mod version of a file inside the original Fallout 4 archives OR an entirely new file only a mod calls.
