Kulharin
So I was running a heavily modded skyrim with ENB at 60 fps on a 1060 gtx with an i5 6600k. Upgraded to a 1070 ti and i7 7700k, and with my new 1440p monitor I am getting only 50-60fps!? Edited December 4, 2018 by Kulharin
FrankFamily
So the previous with the 1060 was at 1080p I assume, and with a 1070ti in 1440p you are getting slightly worse performance, correct? Well, 1440p is a lot more pixels than 1080p, almost twice as many in fact. 1920x1080 = 2 million, 1440x2560 = 3,6 million. Is a 1070ti 170% more powerful than a 1060? I don't think so. Seems to be about 60% from a quick google. Not that things are this simple but maybe the impact in performance it's just what one would expect from going from 1080 to 1440. Kulharin
The enb I was using was dropping 10fps with AO enabled. It runs well now.
jones177
Hi I ran Skyrim Se with ENB and Reshade(no DoF) for a while at 1440 with a 980 ti. I was in the 50s & 60s as well. With a GTX 1080 ti I was mostly in the 60s at 4k resolution. The strength of your CPU only really helps with the lows in the game and that does not change with resolution. For example, my i7 2600k would drop into the 30s. My i7 6700k dropped into the 40. My i7 8700k drops into the 50s. At 3440 X 1440 resolution I use a GTX 1080 ti with a 8700k. That setup is close to perfect. To get that at 4k I will need a GPU a lot more powerful than my 2080 ti.
