WampusTheCat
Hey everyone, I'm iving into Skyrim on PC for the first time today and i wan to know if there is a mod for making lockpicking more of a finesse like there is on console where you can control the amount of "torque" you input into turning the lockpick. with vanilla it basically feels like trying to steer a car in a driving game with the A and D keys only. im looking for something that maybe uses the mouse to control how hard you turn the lockpick instead of it being fullforce or nothing. im definitely not looking for a gamebreaking lockpick mod like lockpick pro. i just want something that keeps the challenge there without making it a garunteed easy pick no matter what skill level the lock is at. IsharaMeradin
The "finesse" as you call it comes from the controller. If you use a controller on the PC you should get the same results. If there is a mod on the console that does indeed allow further control, that mod should also be available for PC somewhere (if not ask the author). Why? All console mods are made on the PC and ported.
Grubsnik
Use a controller. It's a better game experience all 'round than finger-cramping WASDness.
ben446
As has all ready been stated, using a controller on the pc will give you the same results. Ive always played roleplay games on console but upgraded to a decent pc and started playing on the pc. Some people say it is easier to use the keyboard than a controller. If like me you've not played this sorta game on the pc before investing in a controller is the way to go. Just plug the controller in load skyrim up and play. None of the old trouble of trying to install, the controller is supported by skyrim unlike oblivion which didn't support a controller.
