Anzel
When it happened I was utterly confused. I hop on nexus, check the new mods, and exit. Now it's difficult, messy, the text is in several different locations as well. People's profiles don't appear correctly now either, at least to me... Not sure if maybe this was an accident, or an issue when making a new layout, but something's up. I'm hoping it's changed soon, it's becoming a tad bit aggravating to look at the recent mods, and the once hard-to-find message-this-person button, is now...gone, at least for me. Can't find it. Just what I've noticed is all, curious what's up. Edited July 5, 2012 by Anzel
Killerwolf1010
Really, I come here for the mods, not to chat with people and obsessively know what every single person I don't really give a damn about is commenting on. I turned off all the show message options and changed my default settup and it's still wonky. It's better than earlier when I posted in that "The Feeds" are actual buttons instead of links going down the page and blocking most the content, but I still don't like the change. Before the latest files would only be one file along the entire width of the page so you had to scroll down endless to look past just a couple mods and the names and descriptions were all trashy, it does look slightly better with 3 in a row now so maybe the earlier layout was messed up. If you guys want to add on new social features, please do so without altering what was already there. I loved the way the hot files and recent files was setup on the homepage. Seems like everybody here is against the change as it is currently eh? Why keep it? When you click the homepage, you should immediately see what everybody came here to do, look at and download mods. Put the mods back in the center and add all this extra crap to the side, I don't know why you'd put the hotfiles out of the focus. Caine777
Wow. All of a sudden Skyrim Nexus looks like a site from 1998. This is truly an atrocious layout. I haven't seen anything this bad since everyone made gothy websites with cobwebs and spinning skulls on Geocities 15 years ago.

I just hope that they're the type of people to actually listen to us about changes instead of just sticking with whatever they want or I think they may lose visitors. TheThirdRace
To be honest, I don't mind the tabs, I would just like to be able to set a default tab. I don't want to see every little comment on the 5 or 6 files I'm tracking every time I visit the page, especially since some users have quite annoying avatars (I went on New Vegas Nexus, and someone has one of the most annoying gifs for an avatar I've ever seen). I'd rather have it default to site news or something. Also, I don't know if it's on my end only, but Skyrim Nexus looks like a massive mess right now. You can set a default tab in your preferences. If you do a hard refresh of the page a few times (press Ctrl+F5) it should fix the page looking wrong. I would add that the tabs order should be "Site News", "Latest Files", "Latest Images", "Files News" and "Tracked Files". For a user that didn't set his preferences, it should default to "Site News" as it is what was there before the changes. If I may, I would also suggest that the "feeds" have the same blue header as the different sections use. It would help a lot to give a quick reference to where a post begins and finishes. See the attached files for what I mean. Other than that, I think it's a nice feature and I support it, but the current display far from optimal. TheThirdRace
I would add to my last post that I liked the previous layout better. What I would suggest is to stick to the previous layout, but to put the feeds the user wants in the section where you had only the site news. This would give a couple advantages:- Since it's the same layout as before, everyone find it easy to find what they want- Since every feed is now in the old "site news" you have the same headers and all and it's more clear that way- You can still have a "tab bar" allowing you to filter your feeds accordingly without compromising the basic look of the site- As before, you can access really fast to the latest mods and the hot files. I think the new features are really nice, but need to be integrated to the old layout instead of replacing it. Currently it's really confusing and everything is taking twice as long to get to. I set my preferences so I can view latest files with hotfiles and images down the side. Its sort of lost its continuity I think and looks a bit awkward as a result. Not wanting to be a luddite I liked the previous start page where I had the 3 sections at the top and the blog posts underneath. On the other hand it was a pain to keep up with activity on my tracked files and viewing more of the latest files with their screenies is useful too, hopefully its not swings and roundabouts and I can have it all :o) 24" widescreen at 1920 x 1080
kitsuneshoujo
I would like to suggest a compromise as I am sure theres at least one or two people that like the new layout (lol), give us a style option in our settings so we can put the site back to the way it was. :)

Give the feeds the same headers and Bingo!
