Garbargle
So I've tried using vortex for my mods for Fallout 4 and the results are not great. any mods that change the appearance of something in game don't do anything, and mods with custom textures don't show up at all, such as crossbows of the common wealth having invisible weapons and ammo, and CBBE not changing anything at all. However, mods that have nothing to do with custom textures work fine I guess, as the simplified hacking mod works without issue. Anyone else having this issue or have already fixed it? AugustaCalidia
Do you have a Fallout4Custom.ini file? Did you deploy and sort your mods after enabling them? Do you have BodySlide installed?
Garbargle
I don't think I have a custom ini file, I don't have body slide installed. All my mods say enabled on the vortex list.

Fallout4Custom.ini BodySlide: https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Tool_Setup:_BodySlide_and_Outfit_Studio In Vortex you must deploy mods as well as enable them. Deployment is a feature which locks the mod hardlinks into the game data folder until such time as you wish to remove them. On your mods page taskbar you will see the "Deploy Mods" button. If you have not already done so, deploy your mods once you've enabled them.
Garbargle
Okay, can confirm that I do have the custom ini file, and in the options it has automated deployment on. should i turn it off and deploy manually?

In the settings menu leave auto-deployment on. This way your mods are deployed the moment they are enabled.
