EveryNameIsTaken0876
Hi all.I've been browsing the technical help page and need a relief from the chaos so, I come here with a simple question that 85% of the fallout 3 fans here should know. I only played fallout 3 on release way back when and had no dlc and so now that I am blessed with all this new content I can only wonder, what, in the wizened opinion of only those who have completed the dlc, is the best order to play them in? manmangler
Several things to remember DLC's 1. Operation Anchorage, You get nice stuff what can help other DLC's2. Point Lookout is very good. Have several useful perks helping other DLC's3. The Pitt is very Fun 4. Mothership Zeta Nice alien weapons, some areas cant accessed afterwards (If You want all, need play with FalloutWikia open browser), aliens shields are stronger in higher PC levels. So if You want go easy, play this low level PC.5. Broken Steel
EveryNameIsTaken0876
And that order is a solid one for lore as well? I'm looking for difficulty as all my mods and vanilla options are maxed and at lvl 16 the game has gotten a bit easy. What do you mean by "all" regarding Zeta? All the dlc loot? manmangler
In ZetaAll DLC loot like Weapons, Ammo, Armours, Alien Captive Recordings (Notes),. This because some areas are not needed in story, those areas will be locked down in certain point of story. For lore, I can't say sure. I always play how I get cool Stuff. OT- Now I have character who will pickup everything She can before do main story. Sha has done Operation Anchorage (For Stuff), The Pitt (For stuff and perks), Some quest in Point Lookout (For Perks), The Zeta for stuff and perks. Main Fallout 3 Quest she made You Gotta Shoot Them Ahead (Must do before pickup stuff from Operation Anchorage storage room, because bug in this quest), Wasteland Survival Guide, The Replicated Man, Those, The Power Of Atom, Escape, Baby Steps. Every quest give cool items and/or perks. Now these q2uest are next Agathas Song, Blood TIes, Reillys Rangers, Stealing Inde, mpendence. Operation anchorage, Outcast don't regonaize You, so You won't be Great and Famous Lone Wanderer.
Talwyn224
Whats the best order of the official DLC's? Well that depends a lot. If you play through the main quest line all the way through [plus have installed Broken Steel] you end up triggering that DLC. It doesn't automatically mean you must play that and only that however, to me at least, it feels odd ignoring the quest to go off exploring etc. The other consideration is once you've completed Broken Steel, what's left to do? This is why I choose to leave most of the DLC's till after I've finished the main quest line as it gives you more game time to enjoy. Here is my preferred order of play: 1: Operation Anchorage - I do this as soon as I can [roughly level 6 to 7] in order to get the loot etc then play almost all the quests that come with the main game before going on to ...2: Broken Steel [after completing the main quest]3: The Pitt4: Mothership Zeta5: Point Look Out Anyway, it's all a matter of personal taste. some folks want to do them in reverse order where as other do them in the release order. Either way, they are all fun.
