Warring Paranoia
Before I went off on the main quest, I was going around makeing my character stronger. One thing I have a particular attraction to is heavy armor. Daedric is in high demand and short supply, I wanted something a little more easier to get even if it isnt as strong. Ebony would work perfect. Naturally I found out that the redoran counciler, vinem has a full suit of it. I taunted him till he attacked and then I killed him. But it never did give me a severed prophecy message ... Well now I am trying to get those damned redoran councilors to elect me as horator ... and they wont give me their vote because of the one I killed. Please tell me there is a way around this problem ... it would really suck to redo all of this ... I'm nearly at level 50 as it is ...
Lucifer 10
I hate to reply so coldy but.. No. You can't. If you killed one of theirs there's (heheh... homonyms...) no way they'll accept. Sorry. Load a saved if you really wanna be Redoran Horator. Mind you I've never done Redoran so if all the information I just gave you is false don't hunt me down and bite off my head. But the above information is true with pretty much any guild so.. I'm guessing Redoran is the same?
Warring Paranoia
Hmmmm that would make sense, but I just get the feeling that there is a way around this. It never gave me that severed phrophocy messsage ... it would suck to have to restart all of that. But if I do restart, I will surely not make the same mistakes. cmac
No. You can't Yes. You can. There IS actually a way around this...just not in-game. You can either resurrect Venim by opening the console, clicking his bondy, and then typing in resurrect and then entering. If his body is gone, open the console and type in PlaceAtPc, "bolvyn venim", 1, 20, 1 and enter.
Warring Paranoia
So in other words, I am screwed because I use a xbox? Well Damn He will suffer my wraith the true way when I come back to kill him after starting over and makeing it back to the horator spot.
cmac
So in other words, I am screwed because I use a xbox? Ah. Xbox. Yes, you are screwed. I'd say restore an old saved game, but it seems you don't have one. If you DO start a new game and are looking for that shiny new suit of ebony armour, I'd suggest looking in Ashalmalika, the ruin north of Ald Velothi. As it is, there is no way to finish the main quest.
Rune
You have to kill Bolvyn to become Horator or advance to the highest spot in Redoran. So you'll get the armor from him eventually. The only thing is you have to kill him in the Vivec Arena duel. That's why no severed prophecy message shows up, because he dies eventually. You could, of course, complete the game by the other method... the bad method. But I would recommend just starting a new game. I forget the name of the Daedric ruin, but you probably passed it going to that first Ashlander camp. It's the base of the Quarra vampire clan. Not only is there a full suit of Ebony armor (you'll have to kill the dangerous vampire wearing it, mind you) but you can also pick off the full suit of glass from Volrina Quarra herself. It sounds like you kill everyone that doesn't give to the prophecy message. :P
Darkh Templar
I wonder how many times do Box users have to start from scratch bacase of these oops-i-killed-the-guy-i-shouldn't-have-and-i-can't-restore-him-because-i-have-an-Xbox issues? I'm so happy I have my PC. :D
Warring Paranoia
its a pain to have the whole box problem ... but besides to get around hassels, its just not as fun to cheat. Take the health code for example. With the xbox I can regain my health right on the spot and have it keep rechargeing, but whats the fun in that? I rather just buy a bunch of health potions and struggle through it. The only exception is when it would actually just be a hassel on me. Like the quest to vas to get rid of some necromancers. I have to travel to the middle of nowhere just to get there and if I get killed, I will have to sigh and travel back their again through all of the obstacles and so on. So the cheats don't bother me so much, although I do wish I had the power of downloading mods onto my xbox and alll of that. But that would have to be done on xbox live and alot of it wouldnt be free I bet. But anyway to hell with ebony armor this time. I'm going to hunt for some of the easier armor piecies like the dragonbone cuiress ... or however you spell that. *is to lazy to check the game*. I'm more expierianced and I can get some of them now. But I do have a question for you guys ... or rather quite a few of them. This is just so I dont mess up and have to start over again. First of all ... if I become a vampire, would people start attacking me on sight? I figured the ordinators would attack me on sight after I got the moon and star ring ... but they just hated me instead of hating me and attacking me on sight. Also, after being cured of corpus disease, I find I am immune to blight, common, and corpus. Would that mean that I would also be immune to vampirism and need to become a vampire before hand? I would assume that I cant get any further in any quests except the vampire ones if I become a vampire though. That was long winded, but I have a problem with haveing a bunch of saves everywhere all cluttered up. So naturally I wouldnt have saves back to far to protect myself from this problem. Although this time I probably should start.
cmac
First of all ... if I become a vampire, would people start attacking me on sight? No. Temple members attack you if you talk to them, You are refused service from everyone. Mages Guild and Telvanni (and of course your fellow vampires) talk to you. Everyone else says Goodbye. Only previously set attackers attack you on sight. Would that mean that I would also be immune to vampirism and need to become a vampire before hand?Yes. Vampirism, Porphiric Hemophilia, is a disease that must be caught. You must either have a Weakness spell or a mod to become a vampire after the Corprus Cure portion of the Main Quest. I would assume that I cant get any further in any quests except the vampire ones if I become a vampire though. You could, if you are cured...contrary to popular belief, there IS a cure. Perhaps a little in-game book research would tell the tale...
