gaa
I am just now installing Skyrim LE with NMM (0.65.10). After installing Realistic Water 2 LOOT shows total of 7 ITM for RW2/RW2 Legendary. I haven't installed Vivid Weathers yet, but this will also show ITM's. I have used these for years, but I can't remember I got ITM's earlier. The only mod wich is new in my setup is Skyrim Supplemental Patch. Could this be the reason for the ITM's? Can someone describe how I check for conflicts? The texture mod I use is Optimized Vanilla Textures + HD file. IsharaMeradin
ITM (Identical To Master) refers to records in the ESP that are completely identical to the original record in the ESM (or parent master ESP). Technically, this is harmless and will not break the game. However, depending upon the edit it is possible to have one mod change something on purpose and another mod with an ITM revert that change. Then again, some mods need specific values to be at stock and will purposefully create ITMs to ensure that their mod functions the way that they want. Best thing to do when you encounter a mod with an ITM is to read the documentation, check the comment posts and if necessary ask the author about it. To determine if you have a conflict with a specific record, load all active mods in TES5Edit and look at the offending record. You'll be able to see all mods that edit that record. gaa
Thank you for answering. In the RW2 mod discussion page there is one saying that the itm's are intentional. I just couldn't remember that there was so many. Not 7 but 10 (6 in RW2, 4 in RW2 Legendary). I've checked for conflicts in TES5Edit, and I cannot find other mods editing the references that pop up with RW2, so I suppose the conflict is with the gamefiles themselves. I reinstalled without Skyrim Supplemental Patch, but that didn't make any difference, so that is back in the load order.
gaa
The new version of Tes5Edit seems to find more ITM's in various mods, this may well be the cause.
