Araucano
Hello, I'm a bit of a newb. I'd like to have two separate characters to play in-game, but every time i start a new walk through, my first character "saves" get deleted. I'm itching to have a warrior play and a mage play separately to see how much each differs from the other without having to sacrifice my first character in the process. Each time i start a new play thru i make sure to disable the auto save, save on travel, save on rest, etc... I hope someone can help me and that there is a simple solution. Thanks!
Rabbit1251
Are you using quicksaves or are you doing a 'hard save'? Quicksaves are not a good idea with Bethesda games as they can led to corruption of the saved game. It is best to do a hard save through the menu screen for your characters. If you would like to designate which saves belong to which character open your console screen, the ` or tilde key just to the left of the 1 key on American keyboards, and Type "save mygame" without the quotes and press the enter key. Mygame can be whatever you want such as a character's name or location. Example: save Matilda <enter>. If you want to use more than one word in your saved game do put it in quotes as in, save "Matilda the Slayer" <enter>. When you are done press the tilde key again to exit the console. I hope that this answers some of your inquiry and I apologize if I've mistaken you question. Rabbit
