Eluwil
I've been following the creation kit Quest Design Fundamentals tutorial https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Bethesda_Tutorial_Planning_the_Quest, but after finishing the tutorial, when I load up the game Bendu Olo's Amulet spawns in my inventory and the quest automatically jumps ahead to stage 30 (I COC into one of my own cells). I have done everything the tutorial said except that I placed the Actors in different cells that I had already created myself, but I don't see why that would matter. I have read the tutorial over a few times already. Anybody have any clues why this is happening?
IsharaMeradin
Did you put a copy of the item in the inventory section of the player alias by mistake?
Eluwil
I didn't create a player alias in the quest alias tab if that is what you're referring to

TheWormpie
Make sure that the Thief alias isn't pointing at the player, and make sure that the Amulet is created "IN" the Thief alias. If the Amulet starts in the player inventory, it makes sense that the quest stage is at 30, because the Amulet script has an OnContainerChanged event that sets the stage to 30 when added to the player. Eluwil
The Thief alias was indeed pointing towards the player. Everything is working perfectly now, thank you so much!
