Frequent CTD on inventory/power/main menus, frequent freezing on forge/purchase menus

As said in the title, Frequent CTD on inventory/power/main menus, frequent freezing on forge/purchase menus. Zero mod conflicts showing up in LOOT or TESedit. My guess is that this has something to do with availible memory. My computer is new and likely has a great deal of ram. I used to use ENB for this sort of thing, but when I install ENB, no matter how precisely I follow the instructions , my CTD rate skyrockets when I have it installed. So I cannot use ENBoost until I figure that out (and I may not ever be able to). For the sake of needing help, I'll post the load order and INI's below. I'll also post the ENB ini i have ready to go if I can figure out what the problem is.

I also want to say, my load order has not changed. This problem started suddenly and has grown worse out of nowhere. I've been playing for weeks now and all seemed normal. This week I gradually got more and more freezes on the forge menu and now its out of control. As far as I can tell, nothing has updated, nothing has changed. There are no new mods in my setup. I truly don't get it.

ENBlocal ini (The guy who made ENB himself said this was setup properly. I have literally no idea why installing ENB is making my Skyrim CTD more often. Like an 80-90% chance it will CTD on startup and a 70% chance it will CTD within a few mins of play) I'm more than willing to bet if I could get ENB working it would solve most of my problems.

For some reason when i post the ENB ini is doesn't stay in the spoiler tag properly. Trying again in a different post.

Even though it seems to work for you now, I would still fix that issue because if you install more performance using mods this could cause you many issues and CTDs later on.

So here are some guides for the ENBoost and correctly using your settings.

Here for the memory settings: ENBlocal INI/Memory (Don't miss the part with the VRamSizeTest tool because that is the important part which I think causes your game to crash)

Guide for properly using ENBoost

Also why do you limit your framerate to 55? In the [Limiter] section of the enblocal.ini

I would either disable it and follow that video on how to do it if you have a Nvidia card.

I prefer limiting the framerate in my driver settings because this is the best working method in my opinion. Because a too high framerate causes a lot of issues and bugs and a too low one isn't enjoyable for gaming.

Some other ini tweaking tutorials on Nexus:

Crash Prevention Guide

Skyrim Ini Presets

If you want a better looking game try using the RealVison ENB for example because it includes the ENBoost.

Good Luck!

Followed all the ENB steps already. I will try adjusting the framerate as you recommend. Maybe that's my problem. Last time I used ENB 55 was the sweet-spot. Otherwise I've followed the crash fix guide etc. And making the game pretty is secondary to me. Unless realvision ENB has better functionality than the version I'm using, I see no reason to switch. Game already looks beautiful enough in my opinion.

Thank you for the help. I'll give some of this stuff a try and see if I missed anything.

Good luck mate. It's kinda rocket science making a heavy modded Oldrim run smoothly. Haha

That is why I prefer Special Edition because this hour long ini tweaking isn't that important anymore xD

SE seems to have fewer mods (and lacks some of my favorites in particular). Besides, I enjoy the puzzle and it teaches me a lot.

Speaking of which. Turning off the frame rate limit for ENB has not stopped the CTD on startup issue, nor reduced it. Having ENB running fixes all of the freezes I was experiencing so far. If I can just get the CTD to stop on startup/save load then all will be in perfect order.

I've tried doing all sorts of things with the frame-rate/vsynch but it seems that unless I use ENB frame limits/vsynch (or don't use ENB at all) the game's frame rates explode and cause all sorts of physics glitches. I either use ENB with frame limits, don't use ENB at all, or use ENB and suffer frame rates up to 170.

EDIT: Attempts to limit frames outside of ENB have had no effect. I tried to limit frames via the nvidia control panel but the frames remained way above the refresh rate. I had wolves teleporting all over the place. For now I either have to use ENB with vsynch and suffer CTD, use ENB with no frame limits (which actually does still give me CTD but adds physics glitches), or ditch ENB and suffer freezes but less (though not absent) CTD.

Here are some other guides that helped me a lot preventing crashes

SSME

Crash Fixes

SE seems to have fewer mods (and lacks some of my favorites in particular). Besides, I enjoy the puzzle and it teaches me a lot.

I wouldn't say that. I mean all essential and most downloaded kods have already been ported properly.

Like 90% of the other mods can be ported even withouth modding skills. Except the ones that include a .dll file need to be converted to 64 bit which requires the source code.

But if you have crashes in the menus it is maybe SkyUI. Check if your Skyrim version and your SKSE version match your SkyUI version!(Completely forgot that one.)

Otherwise I think you should reinstall everything (even Skyrim from Steam) and try using Mod Organizer 2.

I am using MO 2. Tried reinstalling several times. The menu crashes go away if I have ENB, but when I have ENB I get frequent CTD on startup. (Using the latest version of everything as far as I can tell). Pretty sure SKYUI is functioning normally, and there are no mod-conflicts.
