Sexy mods

I used naked mods for male/female... it got to the stage I couldn't bring myself to loot armour anymore from men because I really didn't want to see another naked man. So I just have the female one and its a understated body, no bouncy bouncy stuff. Definitely not something I see as critical to my experience.

I use them for the simple reason that 99% of the "cool" armors use them as a base. But when I do, I use the "underwear" versions. I really do not want to see a naked "toon" running around on my monitor and for 2 other reasons:

 

1. My wife would flip me in the back of my head. ;)

 

2. My youngest daughter is 10 and my oldest daughter has given us an awesome grandson who is 4 and neither of them need to see things like that.

 

So if the nudity bothers you for whatever reason skip the file or get the underwear body replacers.

I was curious so I crunched a few numbers. As of today on skyrimnexus, there are 16,973 uploaded files. Assuming that mod authors correctly tag their files, a tag search for sexy/skimpy turns up 659 hits. That works out to 3.9% of all mods include sexy/skimpy armor and/or clothing.

 

A tag search for nudity turns up 384 hits. Which turns out to be 2.3%. And, oddly enough, a tag search for sexy/skimpy and nudity turns up 250 hits or 1.5%.

 

As for crowding out the top lists, out of the Top 25 I count 3 obvious nude mods which works out to 12%. And of the Top 100, I counted 10, or 10%.

 

Not exactly a scientific study, conclude what you will. In a game like skyrim, it should come as no surprise that there will be all manner of mods that may offend some sensibilities. The good news is that these files can be filtered out and no one is forcing anyone to use them.

 

Personally, I happen to like skimpy and nude mods. Sure, some are a bit over the top for my tastes but to each his/her own. I don't think I could play this game without them.

That's not real percentage. CBBE has more downloads then second and third most download mod together. And even back in Oblivion HGEC was most download mod of all times. It isn't 10 or 20% its definitely a LOT more.

 

Also, when i was speaking about skimpy/sexy mods and *sexy* past of elder scrolls, i didn't meant hentai or any kind of that asian crap. I don't like that either. But take for instance even Conan the Barbarian is full of skimpy clothed girls and it has nothing to do with hentai.

I use the cbbe body and skimpy armors. Other than that I try to keep it as lore friendly as possible. I know I just made a lot of you laugh but imo "lore friendly" is in the eye of the beholder. In MY Skyrim many women are badass expert fighters that happen to like the freedom of being scantily clad... That and I'm a dirty old man. 8)

 

NO mods (other than cp) should be ridiculed... especially here on the Nexus. What are we gonna do? Ban certain mods? Sounds like Nazi s*** to me. Pretty bad when a conservative joe needs to tell people to lighten up.

I wasn't counting the number of downloads or the percentage of people who may use those mods. I was attempting to demonstrate the number of sexy/nude mods compared to the total number of mods currently available on skyrimnexus. Since the OP complained that there are so many, I had a look and it seems to me that the claim is a bit exaggerated.

 

But, yeah, there are other ways to approach this. Let's take CBBE for example: It currently shows 819,862 unique d/ls. There are 4,243,553 members according to the network stats. Comparing unique d/ls to the total membership, that works out to 19.3% of nexus members are using, or have used, CBBE.

 

The next popular body mod is UNP: 8.6%. Better Males: 6%. And so on. There are many ways to interpret the numbers. And I don't know if the membership number is for skyrimnexus or the entire nexus site. I suspect the latter. If so, the numbers will be higher.

 

But I feel like I'm veering off into the weeds. :smile: I just thought it would be interesting to get some perspective on the issue.

I can't get off to it, but it is stimulating and entertaining.

 

People like sexy stuff because people like sex. Obviously natural since you wouldn't be here if it wasn't for this instinct.

 

Comparing a video game to porn is apples and oranges since they serve different needs. Porn is not a fantasy RPG, but perhaps people also like to bring some of their favorite activities together... Watching porn and playing an RPG. Kill two birds with one stone. I kill three since I also love anime.

 

I'm much more annoyed by enb and custom armors, but they don't annoy me as much as someone who tries to reinforce taboos. The truth is, it doesn't matter what I like or what you like... we all like what we like and if you don't like something, ignore it.

For me, I like roleplaying and roleplaying becomes much much more fun when there is sex involved. Most skimpy armor mods annoy me too but I can't say no to a good sex mod.

To both of the top comments, thats why we have tag filters on the website. Takes a similar amount of work starting a thread about it.

To Elfriend, you cant assume that. If you do the math, knowing that most people have sex by 16, and divided those two groups of who have and havent, people who have would be the majority playing Skyrim, Fallout, etc.

I learn and teach Mixed Martial Arts. Im not 18 yet, neither is my friend who is with me right now learning Kendo. So we both have a "fighting art" background, and guess what? We both like sex! But i think i can speak for people using the Sexy mods that they arent just loading up on those mods, they would mix them with other helpful bug fixers, retextures, and those weird car mods; and they probably arent using it for the purpose of porn! There is a reason its called "Eye Candy" :D

I guess todd did not notice that there are two mature females who don't find it in the least bit degrading. And as I have said before, real men (and women) often used to fight naked once upon a time. Certain tribes still do, and even in Britain today kilted regiments do not wear underoos under their kilts.

 

I roleplay my girls and they wear whatever they are in the mood to wear. Whether it be mage tunics or skimpies.

 

I am inclined to feel it seems to be mostly the younger generations (going by forums) that tend to get themselves twisted up in knots over this sort of thing...I think as we get older, we get over it...though I can't recall getting twisted up about such things myself, so I guess there's more to it, but I do believe age helps.

 

You know, why they fight naked and also known to fight erect too, could make for an interesting discussion...I guess it's all about who's got the bigger set of b*lls figuratively speaking...show no fear, etc...
