cylria
Has anyone heard of a mod for NV that adds hunger, thirst, and sleep deprivation without some or any of the other hardcore effects, like companions becoming killable? Thanks
senterpat
Just play hardcore and get the companion essential mod. Though the point of hardcore is realism imo
cylria
Thanks for the suggestion. I recently played Oblivion with "Basic Primary Needs" and found I like the extra hunger & sleep challenge. In NV hardcore, worrying about Companions getting themselves killed due to their AI, the extra inventory management, and HOT stimpacks are just a hassle and are just killing the fun. I downloaded All Companions Essential 2.0, and weightless ammo and I'll give that a try. I still can't find anything to change stimpacks, but I'll give this a go and see how it is. I think I can make a mod to change stimpack's behavior easily enough if I must.
senterpat
I actually like to make my game a lot harder. For example:Doctor bags only heal limbs if they aren't crippled, have to see a doctor.Imps more complex needs makes the hunger system harder by adding more variablesI don't use companions, except for Ed-e. and I don't mind if he dies. Stimpack use increases my dehydration.I find less ammo, meds, and capsVendors charge a lot and pay little.I get xp slower and less skill points at level up. I think it's a lot funner when I have to use the reloading and workbenches everytime I get a chance. Also I think dying over and over til you find the right tactic to use is fun.
