tristanisms
Ok so i recently decided to get back into skyrim and start with mods that are fun but dont change too much to allow for minimum crashes and problems. Problem is, I still get a s*** load of crashes and problems. I get crashes all across the map for seemingly no reason and I can't pin down the cause. Can someone please help me narrow down my migraine inducing problem? I've attached my exported mod list from Mod Organizer to this post. I use LOOT to sort my mods and I've cleaned ITMs with TES5Edit already so no use there. Edit: I dont know where to file is supposed to be so i'll just post it here mod_id,mod_installed_name,mod_version,file_installed_name8128,"10xCarry","d2018.12.11","10xCarry-8128-1-1.rar"75377,"4k Textures","d2018.12.11","4k Textures-75377-1-1.rar"0,"A Quality World Map 9.0.1 - Jannifer
Okay, first off, we need your actual load order. What you've posted is the mod list, not the load order. Post that .txt file behind a spoiler tag. To do that, click on the the little icon to the left of Font at the top of the editing window. Choose Spoiler, then copy/past your load order text there. I can spot some possible problems. Four K textures are resource intensive. Unless you are playing on a huge HD monitor, you're unlikely to see a great deal of difference between 4K and a more reasonable 2K. I'm sure I'm going to get some argument about that, but the point is to stabilize your game. Secondly, there's no real reason to clean your game masters. I know that many people swear by it, but it really doesn't seem to make much difference one way or the other. The only time I tried it (by faithfully following Gopher's tutorial), it actually made my game less stable. Likewise, mods from experienced authors do not need to be cleaned. In fact, cleaning them can cause real problems with stability, things not spawning where they should, quests not triggering properly and so on. Why do you have the Papyrus Utilities installed? If you aren't working with scripts, there's no need for it. And unless you're familiar with Papyrus scripting, the Papyrus log isn't going to do you any good. The rest of the problem is going to be looking at your load order. Reread the descriptions on some of your larger mods such as JK's Skyrim, Immersive World Encounters and others of that ilk. Make sure that you have no conflicts there. Why do you have an .ini mod? What works for one person won't necessarily work for another. There are very few settings in the Skyrim.ini file that you should mess with unless you know exactly what you're doing and why. Anything with a vague description such as, "I tried this and it helped me and I thought other people should use it too," should be avoided like the plague. So, verify your game cache through Steam to get your base game files back to vanilla. Start the game from Steam to regenerate the .ini file. Get your load order posted, and we'll go from there. One more thing -- please refrain from using profanity on these forums.
