MelTorefas
Since patch 1.6.89 the water in Skyrim (everywhere as far as I can tell) flickers horribly whenever the camera moves at all. Sometimes this also causes the sound to cut out. I have tried everything I could find... Disabling ALL mods and making sure data folder is clean, Catalyst 12.7 beta drivers, forcing vsync on through the Catalyst Control Panel, lowering shadow maps from 4096 to 2048, reducing my monitors refresh (default 60), and disabling all water reflections from the launcher options. Nothing helped at all. If anyone can help me figure out a fix for this I would be immensely grateful. SOLVED: See MOTOSXORPIO's post below. David Brasher
I noticed that I have this problem too now. It must have started after the last update. I never had it when I first bought the game.
MotoSxorpio
Try backing up and regenerating INIs in My Documents\My Games...there were two changes to INI entries that I noticed. I also have noticed that forcing AF of any sort other than the INIs as mentioned above (including ENBSeries and the Antifreeze patch) could use a reset when loading after the new patch. SpacePigeonTV
Try to turn off Adaptive-AA from the control center and tell me what happens :) You can turn it off by switching it over to the Performance side (multi-sample AA)
MelTorefas
Naith, AA settings didn't make a difference unfortunately. But thanks! MOTOSXORPIO: Regenerating the INI files TOTALLY fixed it! Thanks a million! :D Edited July 9, 2012 by MelTorefas

rolloLG
You mean something like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wN846w4-GxA If you are using the Bethesda's Very High Settings this is the cause.Try reducing this parameter in SkyrimPrefs.ini: [TerrainManager]fSplitDistanceMult=1.3300 Default with Very High Settings was 1.5.It solved the issue for me with randomly flickering water surface after fast travel...
