eq2imora
Pardon me if this doesn't make a lot of sense when I describe it.. It's a peculiar problem I'm having and I think I've pinpointed it but not 100% sure. I get migraines when playing Skyrim for extended periods of time. My eyesight's kinda junked and I think it's eyestrain related. I notice nothing wrong until I've spent large periods of time playing in game night time and up in the mountains.. the grey, snowy, everything looks black and white and highly contrastes pain in butt to see mountains. I'm testing out a few modifications that seem to change the nighttime coloration and lighting but I cannot find a single one that actually has screenshots of the crappy mountain areas. Like the journey up to Throat of the World was excruciating on my eyes. Flat white and crappy textures and all that snow blowing around... Yeah it makes for more realistic but it's also an eyesore. Anyone have any suggestions or should I just continue going about it the current slow way of trial and error? I looked at a few different mods, and while I like a lot of what say, RCRN does, I *don't* like the fact that torches become mandatory for the most part(because my eyesight sucks.. even the legacy setting I'll need torches which makes my stealthy characters very much so visible). orangedemi
have you gone to the doctor to see if you have epilepsy or some other eye related condition?
dfac364
do you have an older monitor? nowadays the flat panels don't give out any dangerous radiation at all however the old ones do. The old screen bombard a chemical coating on the screen with electrons known as beta radiation and is the most dangerous radiation outside of the body, as it penetrates a lot and is highly ionising. there was also high energy electromagnetic radiation that came from the coating because the screen was coated with chemicals that are excited by the electron bombardment and the radiation could give people headaches. Or you could just be squinting Edited July 8, 2012 by dfac364
eq2imora
Epilepsy is a seizure disorder. Not an eye thing exactly. I don't have that. My LCD is about 2 or 3 years old now. My left eye doesn't work. I don't have stereoscopic vision. I'm looking to make the gray miserable "i can't see for crap out here" snowy peaks have less stark contrast. This is so far the only game that does this. Granted, I don't play too many games, but even the bleak ugliness that is Storm Peaks and Icecrown in World of Warcraft, or Velious in EverQuest 2 doesn't give me the headaches the mountains in Skyrim do. theru
well theres a simple solution, when it starts stop playing, go and do something else, perhaps sleep?its not healthy for your wellbeing to sit and play hours after hours in games. i did that with another game and i totaly screwed up certain aspects irl , both mentaly/phsykological or what its called and values-.- i never do that again. take breaks during gameplay, it will do u good Edited July 8, 2012 by theru
eq2imora
I do. Doesn't solve it :P You guys are pretty much useless. I'm looking for something to eliminate the grey drab that gives me headaches, and you suggest things unrelated and things I've tried already. If I was looking for something other than a particular game modification I'd have asked for it. I want rid of the grey miserable bleh. Not to be told to get off the computer. Waste of time.
