  8. blender nif scripts 2.5.9 Changes Import normals if present, for the Blender True Normals patch (requested by kormgar). New import option to disable bone priority import, to work around a bug in blender when animating such bones (requested by Koniption). Check the changelog for full details. Special thanks go to Koniption and Kormgar for their help with this release. Installation This version of the scripts should keep working with newer versions of Blender 2.4x and Python 2.6.x (but not Python 3.x.x). At the moment of writing this, the following were used during development of the scripts: Be sure first to log in as administrator! Download and install Blender 2.49b (32 bit), use default settings, except select "Use Blender's installation directory" when asked where to install Blender's user data. Download and install Python 2.6.6 (32 bit), use default settings. Download and install PyFFI 2.1.11, use default settings. Download and install the Blender NIF Scripts 2.5.9, use default settings. Notes On Windows, use 32-bit versions of Blender and Python. (The 64-bit version of Python lacks xml parsing which is essential for the scripts to work.) Found a bug? Post it on the tracker.   9. dont completely rely on the documentation, it is from stone age, now i simply wrote on the original thread in niftools forum u put dlu in plugin folder and i asuming u already got the max ini in right place, theres no need of some dll file, aswell i figure peeps wanted a working plugin before working on the documents. gratus, the blender plugin is almost ready, needs a few adjustement fixes
  10. had a few platform issues , its now been fixed, and plguin been recompiled and reuploaded, hopefuly it now works on correct platform :) drop into niftools forum and let me know if theres still some issues, and nonoodles, it isnt planned, i still need to get stability on this before adding some more major features in niflib
  11. im sorry semtex, dosnt seem i can find the gmax source anyweher but if u register as student here at 3d max student page 3d max student , u dont need to prove u are student ,then u can just download whatever program they have and u get a licence and its free. then download the niftools u need :) im working on max 2013 atm will release niftools for that to

  13. maxtools been updated https://github.com/nexustheru/max_nif_plugin/downloads fixes was an error on the clamp value, corrected that to WRAP_S_WRAP_T also material dont get exported when exporting skyrim mesh, skyrim dosnt use that only bsnolighteningshader fixed the vertex color export but still u need to relink bsnolighteningshader to mesh in nifskope and do check if values is correct on the flags on bshader orginal thread on niftools maxtools

  20. http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/How_to_load_Oblivion_hair_models_into_Fallout_3 tried this, and works in creationkit, didt got time to test it in game thought what i did whas downloaded http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6402 throttlekittys skyrim tri files must be in same dir as confulator and latest version confulator ver 7 from oblivion nexus maked the nif in 3d max as usual skin dismemember export. test.nif in nifskope added lightening shader and changed bodypart to 131 saved the file to test.nif. then exported the trishapefile to a object with same name test.obj. opend up confulator , throttlekitys skinnyfemaletri as first then my obj file then ticked nearest face and on tri section full, leave the rest as it is. place your newly created tri and niffile in the hair folder in skyrim, u prolly got appachi already so place it in same folder or something then pushed the button and this is what it looks like^^ it just a test so no fancy texture or such http://i49.tinypic.com/vwtvs7.jpg i get a few issues like when clickin on show only head in creationkit the hair end up above the head :( and creationkit complains about the tri bc it dosnt got any morphs, but anyway it works in creationkit, should work in game to, will test this in game later tested appachi plugin and it generates same issue, ^^ this must then be the way to creating hair ^^ cool, gonna try with a head later also =P
  21. with skyrim head texture http://i47.tinypic.com/30t6mh1.jpg plain colored map no bump only spec http://i48.tinypic.com/2iw84s8.jpg all is baked to a texture with fasst skin material in mental ray and a few workarounds to get the shader working :)) overall color->shadertomaterial->multibsubobject or blend. this can be done with all the channels in fast skin to get a accurate skin ^^ we should be able to do this with hair aswel since it also relys on light and shadow just as fasst skin.

  24. that happend to me to with the newest plugin from figment found on nexus file download so i reverted back to this one http://niftools.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3196#wrap 6 post from top by figment, his first build was correct then rest of his build on nexus got messed up, normal map, partitions,, and so on. this fixed my mapping issue, hopefully it does for u to, but theres prolly another way around wich i dont know about :(
