ginnyfizz
Here's my problem. As an experiment, I am making a custom race mod using different bodies for my varying custom races and I have worked that bit out just fine, setting up the bits and pieces as armor, armor addons, texture sets and everything else and even using the excellent tutorial downloadable from here that teaches you how to add a script to your race to make it all work. My races are properly playable and having fun. So I decided that I would add some custom hairs to my esp, and this I did, setting them up as headparts with the hairline nifs attached as extra headparts, and assigning them to "AllRacesMinusBeast" in the drop down. However, they are not appearing for selection when I go into showracemenu to try them on my characters. I can't help but feel that there is another step somewhere that I am missing, but I can't find a tutorial either on here or anywhere else that describes how to do this particular step. Or how to add eyebrows for example - although my races are duped from vanilla races and have the original race set as the morph race, on the face data tab one of the races has no eyebrows under base head parts (although she has them in game. Can anybody post a walkthrough? I'd be very grateful! Thanks in advance!
SFBryan18
AllRacesMinusBeast will only recognize vanilla races. What I had to do to add a custom hair to my Ashen NPC was create a whole new hair and hairline just for her in the Ashen's esp and use the Mesh I wanted then assign it to the custom race. Basically, make a duplicate just for that race.
ginnyfizz
Ah cool, that sounds quite simple, so I just dupe the hair for each of the custom races I have and assign it that way. Thanks for helping me as I am very noobish at this!
SFBryan18
Well, since you've created your own race, I wouldn't agree that you're a noob. You probably know more than me. I just happened to have already done this.
