jetmouse
I've had a look at the vanilla player homes to see what makes them so special in terms of the ability to get your partner to move into your home and live there, with no such luck. Does anybody know how I would go about making a player-home and having it so my spouse has the option to move in with me? Thanks!
WorldShaperDragon
I believe that is that function of the navmeshes, which were finally fixed in a recent patch; I'm not actually all that certain since I haven't messed with cell creation before, but that was my understanding of it. It's not the navmeshes. Well, you will also need properly set up navmeshes but it's more complicated that that, it's to do with defining the home properly as a location, with the player as owner etc There was a good tutorial on this somewhere but I can't find it atm. If I find it again I'll post.

I'd like to know since I'm a tad bored of the default houses and fancy living somewhere else properly. i'll be massively thankful if you find said tutorial! Can't find it sorry, I think it was a youtube one, but cannot find it for the life of me. In the meantime have you tried the Spouses Can Live Everywhere mod? I have it, and it definitely doesn't break the game, but I haven't tested if it works yet (loads of endorsements and positive comments on it though so it ought to). Ah that looks like a worthy way around it, assuming it works for me of course! Thanks a lot for finding that :)
volnaiskra
Are there any other special needs that a player home should fulfill? I want to make my player home mod fully spouse-friendly. I'll simply rely on the Spouses Can Live Everywhere mod to actually get them there. But I'm wondering if there is anything else that needs to be done (eg. special ownership tags on the beds)? Despite my 200+ hours in Skyrim, I've never been given the opportunity to get married, and I didn't even know how marriage worked until I looked it up in the wiki, lol.
