Wunf
My Skyrim is crashing everytime i finish creating a character. I have no idea why this is happening, i never had this problem before. So i need a save in the first room of helgen keep (When you go with Hadvar). Character's apperance doesn't matter, i will change it later he only has to be a male. Sorry for any mistakes, my english isn't so good.
xlcr
@Wunf, Skyrim is known to crash in or around Helgen Keep with a newly created character on the first quest 'Unbound'when the game begins due to certain mods you have installed. Either disable/uninstall overhaul/follower mods or anything that adds objects like player homes/locations to the game world. You can reenable/reinstall these mods later after you've reached Whiterun and completed a few quests there. If you're not sure which mods to disable/uninstall, paste the list of contents in your DLCList.txt file here so we can help.Search for DLCList.txt in your systemdrive, this is just a list of the mods you installed that use esp/esm master/plugin files.Or you can check the modder comment sections for each mod yourself and look for any reports of issues like yours. xlcr
@Wunf, try the following:- let Steam verify the integrity of your game cache.- unsubscribe to any Steamworks mods.- backup/rename your existing 'Skyrim.ini' and 'SkyrimPrefs.ini' in '\My Games\Skyrim', when you start a new game Skyrim will generate default versions.- backup/delete all the existing savegame files in '\My Games\Skyrim\Saves'.- set your graphics to lower settings.- control panel, sound, playback tab, right click speakers, properties, select 24 bit, 44100Hz (Studio Quality).- review your graphics card control panel global and game profile settings.- disable autosave.- try what this guy did (reinstall): http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/473543-skyrim-crash-after-character-creation/ sorry, i currently can't make you a clean savegame because my Skyrim is very heavily modded.. Psiberzerker
Try re-installing Skyrim from dick, this tends to mesh all the patches, and such better into a more stable configuration. Then, re-subscribe to all your mods, and try to find a more stable load order. Also, everthing xlcr said, good troubleshooting tips there.
