Adipose
So far, after spending quite a bit of time working with Vortex, I find the mod manager to be no more tricky than NMM. Having said that, I've got a problem with the mod locator in that there are occasionally mods which the AI won't pick up and classify. Frex, I've got a follower mod which I can find by trolling the mod list, but which doesn't show up in the Follower Category list. Instead, the Vortex program has assigned a number to the mod and seemingly can't classify same. This isn't the first time that I've run into this problem with the Vortex category program. By "mod locator" do you mean the "mod details pane?" See picture below. Click here for the Knowledge Base article (2.7.5) about this feature: https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/User_Interface_Overview. Do you make use of the "Guess" button located beside the Nexus Mod ID box? (It disappears after you've entered an ID.) The categories in Vortex are the NexusMods categories. Vortex does not have a separate category program.
Adipose
Nope. Just using the category selector at the top of the mods page. I've used the npc in question off and on for years. First time it's not been classed as a follower in the follower section. Therefore, since it's been included as part of operations through Vortex, even though it's supposedly derived from the Nexus mods program, then one supposes that an alteration has been made during the transfer to Vortex. Therefore, since it's been included as part of operations through Vortex, even though it's supposedly derived from the Nexus mods program, then one supposes that an alteration has been made during the transfer to Vortex. The Mod Details Pane is a feature that will allow you to access NexusMods and assign the correct NexusMods categories to your mods. If you don't want to use the category assigned by Nexus Mods, then you can easily change it in the Mod Details Pane. What you call the "mod locator" is simply a feature on the mods page that allows you to view all of the mods in a particular category. It does not create and/or assign categories. If you want your mod to be categorized as "follower," then double-click on the mod name to open the Mod Details Pane. Select "Nexus Mods" as source, and then click on the "Guess" button that will appear alongside the Nexus Mod ID box. Vortex will fill in the ID and assign whatever category is shown on the NexusMods page for your mod. If there already is a Nexus Mod ID and category assigned when you open the Mod Details Pane, then click on the Nexus link in the Mod Details Pane to make sure you're linked to the correct mod. If you don't like the assigned category, then you can always change it, as I've already said. If you have not already done so, read the Knowledge Base article for further information. Adipose
What? Actually read the instructions prior to use? You've got to be kidding. Booooring. Okay, jokes aside, will do so. Did manage to get her classed as a follower via the pane, still a few other bugs but it's all pretty much good.
