Looking for some mods

Hello everyone !

I played Skyrim a little bit at release, and then waited for mods to come.. I think now would be a good time to start playing for real, but well.. the amount of nice looking mods is just amazing, and i don't want to do the same i did with oblivion: Trying to play with 100+ mods, making the game unplayable. So here i am, asking for advices. I will try to say as much as i can about the way i like to play, in hope that you will be able to point me into the right direction. :)

About textures, i'd like it to be as beautiful as possible, without losing to much fps. Would you recommand the official Hi-Res texture pack, or a specific user-made texture pack ?

About immersion.. i'd like something that adds some needs, such as hunger, thirst, sleep, etc.. not too simple, but not a pain either. I can't think of anything else specific about immersion, but if anything come to your mind, let me know :) Anything that can help forget real life while playing would be nice.

The character i'd like to play would be stealth archer/daggers, with some thieving/lockpicking skills (with a little bit of swords when caught in day light). Any good mods that would fit this kind of character ? (more weapons would be amazing as well)

Lastly, i play female characters. I'd like to find some armors mods for a stealthy class that are beautiful and sexy, without being too skimpy. Armors that would fit well the elder scrolls universe, not too strictly, but i'm not looking for japaness armor mods either.

Any other must-have mods ? Please let me know :)

Thanks for your time :)

I'd say start with the official pack, play a while and then have a look at others. But you'll want to get the HD Textures DLC Fix mod. It just corrects some stuff (incorrect names for textures causing them to be missing that kind of thing) that Bethesda didn't notice was wrong and haven't bothered to fix yet.

I'd recommend Imp's More Complex Needs, it may look complicated at first, but it really isn't. Because it's very realistic, it's actual quite easy to use, just eat a balanced a diet and you'll soon pick it up.

I'm duty-bound to say my own mod here! http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/laugh.gif It's a small but feature-rich new village/town and player home. Somewhere extra to trade, has a couple of new followers, and somewhere to live too if you like....

First off if you haven't already I would highly recommend downloading the nexus mod manager (get it here), or something similar. Having a mod manager will really help with trying out mods.

In addition to what tetradite said here are two mods that I use that you might be interested in:

No More Blocky Faces - This will make the fix the default faces so that they look better, I would also look at some of Xenius' other work too.

ApachiiSkyHair - Adds a lot more hair styles (male and female), most of them are fairly normal hairstyles that you might actually see.

Finally to help organize your characters I would recommend the Profile Manger.
