t4rt4r
Hello I've installed a couple of mods (from STEP guide) and started to play Skyrim. I begin the game, escape through caverns and finally get out to see the open world. And... http://i47.tinypic.com/2v2hbfb.png http://i49.tinypic.com/34hxd3o.png You have to agree it looks horrible. I've watched some walkthroughs on youtube and found that there should be nice cloudy shades over there. I'm not sure whether I've done something wrong when installing the mods or is it the problem within the mods.. Anyway.. any suggestions how to fix that? Can't stand the looks of this crap.. Thanks in advance!
phatdewd
I have the same problem. I think its something with the mods. Sadly, i think i wont be able to get back non yellow mountains. Ive uninstalled my mods, yet its still there :(
fms1
If you use the mod A Quality World Map With Roads, and use the "cloth map" ver. it causes this, because your map uses the in game LOD files for the map. You can change to the normal ver. and it should fix it.
MadWizard25
Odd, try posting on the STEP forums for help. As fms1 said, its probably a mod that overwrite vanilla skyrim LOD files. A quality world map does this. Also, you are probably still seeing the yellow mountains even after uninstalling the mods because certain mod data gets baked into your savegame. Once you uninstall the mods, some mod data will remain in your savegame and cause issues. There is no complete fix for this. There are two partial solutions. The first is to start a new game, and the second is to follow these instructions from the STEP wiki troubleshooting guide. http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Troubleshooting#tab=Mods_and_Savegames
phatdewd
Actually, there is something that did help a little. If the two guys above me posts didn't help, You should get some mods that increase your draw distance. It helps a bit.
jaime74
fms1 was right: In my case, it was definitely the Quality World Map mod with its "Classic" option!I had the same issues, and switching back to the normal or HiRes version solved both my missing distant objects and yellow distant snow problems.See also here.
