Tried everything i can think of bodyslide/cbbe

Hi all,

Read every forum and post under the sun on this, still no luck. Maybe I'm being completely stupid, but I will say, on my old pc a couple of years ago with nmm, I had this working fine. I have tried again on this pc with nmm after failing with vortex but with the same results. The only difference from before I think is that these are the latest downloads of cbbe and bodyslide.

I have bodyslide opening fine via vortex, the mods say they are installed fine, I have bodyslide set to open after cbbe and all enabled. Preview of body is just black and nothing happens after build. CBBE is working as the character is able to be nude in game.

Please see attached images.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!!

You have a "Caliente Tools" folder in your Fallout 4 game data folder. "Caliente Tools" is where BodySlide is installed in SkyrinSE but not in Fallout 4. In Fallout 4, BodySlide is installed in "Tools." If you haven't already done so, you may want to take a look inside the two folders to see what's there.

Hi Augusta,

Thanks for the reply.

ok, so this is how it installed by running the x64 bodyslide app. Inside just "tools" there is indeed a folder called bodyslide with folder shapedata, slidercategories, slidergroups, slider presets and slidersets. inside shape data there are more folders such as cbbe and cbbe far harbor etc, and inside thos are loads of osd and nif files. Inside slidersets are osp files and inside the others are xml documents.

There are no body slide app files, so do I just point bodyslide at the tools folder? Should the caliente tools folder not be there, or where it is. It's bit confusing as I followed the instructions to the letter.

Cheers!!

p.s. I should say, in caliente tools folder is where the bodyslide x64 app run file is etc. So does this then need to be installed elsewhere?

Put all the .exe files into the "Tools" folder.

However, I'm puzzled as to how the "Caliente Tools" folder got there. When you install BodySlide for Fallout 4, there should be only a "Tools" folder containing everything you need, including all the .exe files.

You may want to try the following:

  1. Uninstall BodySlide.
  2. Check the game data folder to confirm that "Tools" has been removed.
  3. Check the game data folder to see if "Caliente Tools" is still there.
  4. If it's still in the game data folder, then delete it. The fact that it's still in the game data folder means that the Fallout 4 BodySlide mod did not put it there.
  5. Reinstall BodySlide.
  6. Check to confirm that "Caliente Tools" is not in the game data folder.
  7. Check to confirm that "Tools" is in the game data folder.
  8. Open "Tools" and confirm that the required .exe files are all there.
  9. Set up your BodySlide tool on the Vortex dashboard.

Please let me know if anything good comes from this.

Thanks for that. I got it working through your instructions.

I unistalled it like you said, however both folders "tools" and "caliente tools" still remained.

Just deleted both folders and started again with the same results as before.

My method as I had to download the files manually and not straight to vortex from the website was:

1. download mods to desktop

2. drag cbbe to "add files" on vortex.

3. click install button in vortex to the right of listed cbbe mod.

4. drag bodyslide to "add files" in vortex

5. click install button in vortex to right of bodyslide.

6. click enable for both mods in vortex.

7. set bodyslide to open after cbbe

8. add tool (bodyslide) in vortex to fallout 4, choose path and body slide runs.

(so this installs like I showed you before with "tools" and "caliente tools" both appearing in fallout 4 data folder)

9. As you said, dragged everything from "caliente tools" into "tools" (when it asked me if 2 duplicate files were to be replaced, I selected skip as I considered the ones already there were installed by vortex correctly, but not sure it would have made any difference)

10. Deleted the bodyslide tool in vortex and added a new one with the new path.

11. Ran it and everything is as it should be. Made adjustment to body then build to check all is working and ran fallout 4. Adjustments made were applied in game.

Thanks for your help!!
