CTD Started Recently

So I am including my BOSS report below, but I recently started having CTD issues after a stutter. I uninstalled everything, went back a few saves, and still am having the same issues. I am a noob with all of this, so if anyone can point out what I can do to fix it I would appriciate it. I really hate the idea of having to do a clean install, but if that is something I have to do could someone point me to some directions on how to do it? Never had to deal with it on a computer on Steam. My cloaks have always been running all three, I closed the two I needed and was stuck without a cloak so I don't think that would be part of it (it was one of the first ones I installed).

 

Any help would be greatly appriciated folks! Thanks!

Must have been a save that carried over awhile. It was bad enough to where I had to go back 8 saves to find one that, for now at least, works. Anyone have any advice?

after going through your list, i see quite a few large mods in there. it is possible you are just overdoing it. off hand, I know quite a few house type mods that are written bad or conflict horribly with how my Skyrim is set-up. Also, there are many equipment mods that look nice but interfere with levelled lists of equipment. You also have a few mods that change NPC reactions. Them alone can cause huge implications. I am not sayign the mods you have are badly writeen or come from a horrible modder. I am saying you have a lot of mods that affect the same things or changes how the game expects the "thing" to react.

 

if you still continue to have problems, completely remove the game and reload it. make a copy of your skyrim data folder periodically in case this happens again. you have too many things going on and mods loaded to give you any serious suggestions.

 

I run about 170 mods with very few CTD's. Most really good modders list a how-to install , update and remove under their description. It is there for the users benefit. Also read the comments. a lot of users post to what they find with mods and how to avoid such problems. Sorry to hear about all this, but most of us have gone through it... more then once.

Brandy, Thank you! Sorry it took so long to come back and reply, RL has kept me busy.

 

I read every mod throughly to check for conflicts and such and somehow everything is working fine now after I backed up a few saves and found one that still worked... Sometimes I wish I could mod myself so I could pick and choose, say, a particular weapon instead of a mod full of weapons. I guess I am just addicted... Makes it hard to choose. With the house mods I have noticed that very problem with various houses - one in particular made other areas completly unrelated unplayable and it took me a week to figure out what was doing it. Really dissapointed me as I was so excited for the location it added. I also have a favorite house now that is very in character, but is just bad for stutter.

 

I have been trying to stick mostly with mods of stuff that I actually use constantly and have a great number of endorcements and favorable comments.

 

I will make a copy of the data folder - had not heard that one before...
