Hy All This is falcont.

Many of you will have seen my name on these pages for a few years now, simply because I enjoy browsing the web pages on the Nexus Forums, and sticking my nose in now and again. I am not a PC_Whiz, but I do get by. My favourite Games are Oblivion and skyrim. When I first installed Skyrim, that was when it first came out, I whent the whole hog and instaled every mod that took my fancy, and with about 80 mods it played well without any CTD at all. When I Got to know my way around a bit I could change mods with no problem at all -- Now I have decided to replay the game again on the same pc and its taken 5hrs to download and its now 3.0am wednesday morning. { WHY THE BLOODY HELL DO I NEED THE DVD } OH Stuffit Now i have a new bottle of wine and the bottle top won't crack its going to be one off those nights. Sorry people I do tend to rant on a little. but at 70+ what else is there to do . Anyway Bloody hell ime still trying to get the bottle top off.....sorry Im ranting again, To cut things short can anyone tell me why the game will not run, although I am useing the same mods and why steam has to download my game and take so long, when it would take a quarter of the time for my DVD to do it

Two reasons:

 

1) Steam hates you, me & everybody

2) Lots of updates and patches have been released since the version on the DVD
