joan54
Hello everyone, I am working on a feral ghoul overhaul that would transform them into discarded Synths. For that, I need to change their appearance from feral ghoul to Dima. I understood that I need to transfer the weight-bones of the feral ghoul skeleton to Dima's body through Outfitstudio, export the .nif and replace the original feral ghoul ones with it.However, I'm a little bit lost, because everytime I try, the .nif is distorted and acts like some kind of non-euclidian creature from hell when it moves. Could somebody please help me ? Thanks in advance and merry christmas to everybody!
jkruse05
Just wanted to say this sounds awesome and I hope you figure it out. Even if they act like ghouls it'll be nice to have something else to shoot at.
joan54
Jkruse05, thanks a lot. I'm still trying to find a way, currently. I tried using the .nif from "feral ghouls to humans" mod as a base to transfer the skeleton from (as it has correct proportions for a standard humanoid shape), but it still doesn't work. Once I'll find a way, I'll make sounds in the spirit of the "construct" from Soma. I'm sure it can really create a fitting atmosphere.
Ruadhan2300
Kind of Necro'dI hit pretty much the same concept myself last week and started hacking away at the problem before hitting a stumbling block.I think I've gotten a bit further, I've created a copy of the Feral Ghoul Race, then changed the settings to match the Synth gen 1s apart from the animation-set.I think I have everything right, but it's not rendering in the preview on the NPC, neither ingame (weirdly, you can actually shoot, kill and loot the invisible NPCs, so it seems to be a purely visual problem)The same problem happens if I just duplicate the regular Synth Race and set the NPC to that. No changes, just a copy with a different name.So I think my issue is that I need to rebuild the Race-data in some way. This is what I came to the forums looking for info on before finding your old post!Maybe someone has the answer to this. Custom races can't be an unusual challenge.
