Issues downloading mods Using Vortex instead of NMM

When i download mods, I want them to download through vortex, because it is easier to use. I have tried to figure out how to do this, but no matter what i do, it always downloads them through the old NMM instead. Its very aggravating, to say the least, to have to download all of them through nmm, where you have a 50% chance of success on downloading a given mod, only to import them to vortex right after, effectively doubling the time it takes for me to be able to play the games i want to play. If anyone has a solution to this, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Haven't used NMM in years, but I do remember this article when I moved from MO to Vortex:

https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Migrating_to_Vortex_from_another_Mod_Manager#Nexus_Mod_Manager_Considerations

From the sound of it, you will have to choose.

Hopefully someone else can chime in and clarify.

In Vortex dashboard>Settings>Download, have you configured Vortex to handle Nexus links?
