Dungeon Siege Install Problem

I don't know where this goes exactly so i'm putting it here

Ok Dungeon Siege and it's expansion Legends of Aranna are great games

Some of my favorites

BUT

The install freezes at 4% EVERY SINGLE TIME i try to install it

I've done everything i can think of(Which is not much :P)

 

I don't see why it won't work

Worked on my dads old Comp

Worked on my moms old Comp

BUT IT WON'T WORK ON MINE

 

 

Please can someone aid me in fixing the issue i am having?

I'd appreciate it greatly

there's a few things it could be... in no particular

 

1) your disc drive could be dirty

try a cleaning CD

 

2) scratched disc, does the data side look pristine?

a cd repair kit like www.digitalinnovations.com/disc_repair.php may work, unless the disc is to far gone

 

3) Drive incompatibility, not all drives can read all games,

if possible try another drive

Disk drive is not dirty

Disk has a few scratches but my computer can run heavily scratched disks(If only just but still they run)

 

And i highly doubt it's incompatible

Otherwise it would not reach 4% would it?

what systems does your PC have? Vista? XP sound card graphics etc etc i cant help you without knowing that

Dungeon Siege has issues installing on rigs with widescreen monitors and on standard monitors with larger than 1280x1024 resolution.

i got a wide screen and i get no problems

My dad is looking into me going to work with him

They pay 10 bucks an hour for helpers

So 8-10 hour day that's 80/100 bucks

So i could just get all 4 DS and have some to spare :D
