Infrequent but random CTDs....fact of life?

Hello,

 

To anyone who take the time to read all this and help me out with this regardless of the result, I would just like to first say, thank you.

 

I'm having infrequent but very random CTDs. I get one CTD maybe every 4 to 6 hours of game play and honestly it seems to me like there is no rhyme or reason to it. Some examples:

-Fighting a dragon outside Whiterun, some mages join in, CTD.

-Hunting a wolf outside falkreath, walking up to corpse CTD.

-CTD walking into the inn in Riverwood after making a save right after entering, waiting 2 seconds after entering to save did not lead to CTD.

-2 back to back CTDs during the day in Rifton, I then reloaded a third time recreating the entire scenario and no CTD (I tried to recreate the CTD many times).

 

I'm going to give more background below but feel free to skip straight to my load order if you want to pass on my long winded modding story.

 

I've been building this modded version of skyrim for some time now. I can honestly say I've read every mod page of every mod below that could be considered "complex", this includes reading comment sections, googling compatibilities, etc. I also downloaded mods in groups starting with purely visuals, then combat mods, then mods that introduce lots of npcs, then gameplay overhauls (Ordinator, Frostfall, etc), and finally more content heavy mods and followers. I know these categories are subjective and not all encompassing but the point is I would download 5 to 10 mods at a time play for a few hours and figure out and fix bugs using trial/elimination, SSE edit, and all the other random ways one finds conflicts. But with the infrequency and random nature of the CTDs I have left, I just can't put a finger on what is wrong. I have about 40 hours in a playthrough now and just cannot put any of it together to find a trend, this is especially difficult as I have never once been able to replicate a CTD I have had, with the exception of entering the inn at riverwood followed by instantly saving leading to CTD. But like I said even that CTD was easily avoided by just waiting 2 seconds to save.

 

To preface this I am gonna preemptively answer common questions for these types of posts.

-I use MO2

-I am 100% positive all mods are up to date.

-SKSE is of the latest verion and installed correctly (scripts).

-Papyrus log installed (correctly)

-SSE fixes installed, no plugin bug.

-LOOT run many times and load order thoroughly examined manually

-Overwrites in correct order

-Master files are cleaned (I also ran without cleaned masters to see if problem continues...it does)

-Bethini

-USSEP patch installed

-Done my best to find every compatibility patch.

-Mator Smash Patch installed (I used to use Bash but Gamerpoets recommends this and they've always steared me right).

-I do my best to lookup conflicts in SSE edit.

-I have not cleaned any MODs.

 

So my final question is such. Is anyone out there running as script heavy a game as me without the occasional CTD? What else could I do to reduce CTD? Are there just some compromises I should make below in terms of cutting mods, if so which ones? OR is this just a problem I'll have to live with if I want my game this modded...

 

I really don't want to cut mods out as I have basically created the perfect video game below (it's so hardcore I love it), I just want it to "just work"!!!

curious.. as you say you use MO2 and bethini.. did you make sure to uncheck mark the load ini from local?

Hey, I did actually. Took me a while to get that one when I first started using Bethini.

 

But that is definitely not the culprit...
