NPC's can improve & enchant items

Playing with Morrowloot along with PirateLords Loot Adjustments makes the game feel much more like Morrowind for me from a loot/exploration point of view. It feels worth clearing dungeons and exploring every dark corner. But my ArchMage still needs blacksmithing to improve his gear, and my warrior is still forced to grind enchanting just so they can improve their gear. I can't be the only one who hates this new grinding crafting system?

I would like to see a mod that allows blacksmiths to improve weapons and armor, for a suitable cost, including resources/raw materials for it. And The enchanter at the mages college should be able to enchant items for you, again for a suitably high price, and still requiring all the materials, as it was in Morrowind.

On top of that, why is the player the ONLY character in the entire world that's able to improve/temper equipment? Why does no one else ever have a "Fine" weapon or an "Epic" armor? Can't they be added in a suitable way to the leveled lists, or Morrowloot as an addon?

Possible? Stupid? Impractical? Feedback?

Stupid? - No, in fact it's only logical ánd highly practical.

In my playthroughs I always just use the console to crank up my crafting skills to a respectable level, create some upgraded items, and then subtract some gold from myself.

All just to simulate going to a crafter and paying for their services, so I highly endorse this request.

Actually adding those to LLs would may be possible, but I think you'd have to create - let's say - 5 different Iron Cuirass with different values because a tempered item is no item on its own (argh, that sounds confusing). I'm not sure how that works (never looked into it) but I assume those are duplicates of the original item?

Anyway, that MAY be possible with sciprts/skse/whatever now or someday.

As for the NPC services - I don't really know - that may be possible though I'm not sure how/if you can use the actors Enchanting/Smithing skill in the menu, but it may be possible to raise the player's skill to a certain amout as long as the f.e. enchanting menu is accessed via dialogue.

But again - I'm not really a pro regarding scripting or anything else. That's just something I thought of MAY be possible.

Edit: Hm, I thought about this and got to the point where I have an EnchantingMenu opening via Dialogue with an Enchanting Skill of 100 where my Character had 15. Also I got it to reset back to 15 after closing the menu.

Now there have to be Enchantings added. Otherwise you'd only have Enchantings you personally know. You will however still need a filled soulgem, but that's fine in my opinion.

Also I'm not sure about how to making that a "paid" service actually ONLY getting your money when you really enchanted something =/ Getting the money is now problem, but then you'd actually pay for nothing if you close the window without doing anything.

Hm, should've started with the blacksmiths. Have two different ideas how to be able to temper stuff you have no perk for. But I just can't imagine how to add enchantments - I don't even know how to get those the player has, or where they are stored anyway. Frustrating :P

There is a mod called alternate crafting system on the skyrim nexus that lets you ask blacksmiths to improve your gear and they can make new stuff for you. I use this but i need a mod that puts a system like this for enchanters so i dont have to waste my time on enchanting iron daggers.
