Question about Vortex

Edit: I got Vortex to run, did it into the same drive then Oblivion..and then i tried to install Wrye brash again, and suddenly it worked also, so the main problem was that Vortex was von my C-Drive and Oblivion on my Game-Drive(F).

 

Now trying to get all the patches, wish me luck :wink:

 

Keep in mind - it does not matter where Vortex lives. Many people run it from C:/Program Files. It can manage games on all of your drives.

The critical part is that the mods directory you specify has to live on the same partition as the game it is for. That is a symlinks requirement.

I highly recommend watching a tutorial or two.

If i start watching tutorials, i find out that i know nothing and will need to watch 10 more tutorials. My hope is that people help me get the game , vortex and the mods running.

 

Actually i have another question, i tried instaling a new mod named "The Secrets of Angalayond Cey"

, and to get it running i need a OBSE, its a modloader i think. Actually i use Vortex to handle all my mods, so how do i activate this mod then ? Do i have to start the OBSE to start Oblivion with it or can i still use Vortex ?

OBSE is a script extender; it is not a mod manager. You can get it here: https://obse.silverlock.org/.

 

OBSE adds additional script capabilities to vanilla Oblivion. Without OBSE, mods using the OBSE scripts will not work properly.

 

Before installing OBSE, be sure to study the ReadMe very carefully and install according the instructions found there.
